Listen to this chapter:

Silas said nothing, quietly settling into the middle of the bed. It was decently large, but a squeeze for four grown men. He couldn't refuse their insistence, wanting only to please them, though he had no idea what they planned. Quentin switched off the lights.

Initially, Silas lay flat, but discomfort soon arose. He rolled over, only to be met by Norton's pale face, eerily illuminated by a phone screen, giving it a ghostly appearance. Startled, but silent, he offered Norton a polite smile and rolled away, encountering Quentin's pensive gaze. Silas sighed inwardly, returning to his back, eyes fixed on the ceiling, remaining still as a statue. He had no memory of falling asleep, only the sensation of being compressed in the middle, barely moving for fear of waking the others. They tossed and turned without restraint, leaving Silas frozen, his composure maintained purely through willpower. He'd never shared a bed with another person, let alone three at once.

When Silas awoke, it was morning. He hadn't woken independently; Julius, startled by a nightmare, had roused him with a yell. Seeing someone beside him, Julius yelped again, only realizing it was Silas on his second shout. Quentin and Norton stirred groggily. Calliope rushed in, drawn by the commotion. She surveyed the four men crammed together, her feelings complex, but she had to admit her three brothers and Silas made a striking sight. She quickly snapped a picture.

Quentin remained silent, glancing at Silas as if about to speak, then changing his mind. Calliope, examining her photograph, grinned. "So, did you boys get any useful intel last night?" she asked. Quentin muttered, frowning slightly, "Nothing much." Norton stretched, declaring, "Alright, up and at 'em! Let's grab something later, and hit the town in the afternoon." Silas agreed. Julius, fully awake, asked, "Mr. Myers, did you get any sleep last night?" Silas replied, "I did, actually. Slept pretty well. No idea when I nodded off." He'd expected a sleepless night, yet somehow he'd managed it. He was a cautious man, unable to sleep soundly around others. Norton narrowed his eyes. "Those things you said last nightโ€ฆ you weren't just making that up, were you?"
