Chapter 80
Calliope nodded. โYeah, something did happen, but it was all within my expectations, so thereโs no need to get upset, guys.โ
She gave them a quick rundown of the situation. She assured them everything was under control. As for her relationship with Silas, things were going pretty well.
โGideon actually let you down? Do you want us to deal with him?โ Julius asked, his face darkening.
โNo need, I can handle it myself,โ Calliope replied with a playful grin. โAll I need is for you guys to be okay.โ
โAlright, Callie, remember, we have got your back. Whether youโre right or wrong, weโre always on your side,โ Quentin said in his deep voice, โWe wonโt let anyone mess with you, not even Silas, got it?โ
Calliope nodded, feeling a warm glow in her heart as she looked at them. They were always so loving and protective.
โCallie, this is from some bonuses I got from recent missions. Itโs not much, but take it as pocket money,โ Quentin suddenly handed her a card.
โHereโs some pocket money from me too. Itโs not much, but donโt turn your nose up at it!โ Norton pulled out another card as well.
โQuentin and Norton have given you money, so I wonโt give you cash, but Iโve ordered two cars for you. Just give me an address, and Iโll have them delivered.โ
โGuys, I donโt need any money!โ Calliope protested, trying to refuse.
โWe know you donโt need it, but making money for you to spend is the fun part!โ Julius said affectionately. โOtherwise, whatโs the point?โ
Calliope sighed, knowing she had more money than she could ever spend. But it was nice to receive their gifts.
They all sat down for a meal together. Once they finished eating, Juliusโs agent came to pick him up. He had work later and couldnโt stay long.
When Julius left, he put on a mask and a baseball cap to cover his celebrity face.
โCallie, Iโve got a busy shooting schedule these days, but letโs hang out when Iโm free, or we can play some games online!โ
โSure,โ Calliope replied with a smile that could light up a room, leaving Juliusโs agent momentarily stunned.
โJulius, is this the sister you mentioned? With looks like that, would she be interested in signing with our agency?โ the agent gazed at Calliope, intrigued.
He was about to hand over a business card when Julius stopped him.
โDonโt, sheโs not interested in being an actress. If youโre looking for investment, you can talk to her, but actingโs off the table,โ Julius said with a chuckle.
โReally?โ the agent glanced at Calliope.
Calliope smiled, remembering something, and turned to Julius. โOh, by the way, Julius, Iโve got a great script that I think would suit you perfectly. Let me know if youโre interested!โ
โAbsolutely,โ Julius nodded.
โScriptwriter?โ the agent asked, eyeing Calliope skeptically.
โNope,โ Julius pulled his agent away. โCallieโs a jack-of-all-trades! No more questions.โ
The agent was left speechless.
Watching Julius step into the SUV, Calliope and her other brothers left the restaurant, chatting as they walked.
โCallie?โ
Just a few steps out, Calliope heard a familiar voice calling her name.
