Chapter 902

What an entrance! Everyone turned to look at the source of the bold voice. A tall woman strutted in, dressed in a mix of luxury and extravagance: a fur coat on top, leather pants on the bottom, and a pair of oversized sunglasses perched on her nose. No one seemed to recognize her, and whispers began to ripple through the courtyard.

โ€œWho is she?โ€

One of the bolder ones shot Hayden a look and joked, โ€œIs this one of your unresolved affairs?โ€

Unfazed, Hayden replied calmly, โ€œSheโ€™s not here for me.โ€

Keira, however, wasnโ€™t surprised by the womanโ€™s sudden appearance. Nor did she hold back. โ€œWho are you, and why would we need to notify you?โ€

This remark drew curious glances toward her. The woman, unfazed, swayed her hips dramatically and smirked. โ€œYouโ€™re acting all high and mighty already, and youโ€™re not even Mrs. Hart yet?โ€

Her words immediately shifted the attention to Hayden. It was a clear jab at him for not having formally married Keira yet, suggesting heโ€™d shortchanged her for a wedding.

โ€œWell, Iโ€™ve always been this high and mighty, married or not,โ€ Keira retorted with a grin. โ€œAnd maybe take off those massive sunglasses. People might think youโ€™ve got a black eye under there.โ€

She chuckled lightly. โ€œWow, boss lady, still as sharp-tongued as ever. Arenโ€™t you afraid of scaring off all your customers?โ€

โ€œScare them off, and Iโ€™ll just drink tea and enjoy the view by myself,โ€ Keira replied, gesturing toward the beautiful courtyard. โ€œNot like Iโ€™m hurting for money.โ€

โ€œHopeless,โ€ she sighed dramatically, shaking her head. โ€œHow do you all put up with her? I donโ€™t see how anyone could be friends with this woman.โ€

Finally, she removed her sunglasses, revealing a meticulously made-up face. Her unveiling drew audible gasps from the group. It wasnโ€™t just her striking beauty that caught everyone off guard, but the fact that they recognized her.

โ€œSheโ€™s from the Drago family,โ€ someone murmured, glancing at Keira with confusion. โ€œSurprised, huh?โ€ she teased, striking a pose. โ€œWhat do you think? Have I gotten prettier?โ€

โ€œWhen were you ever not pretty?โ€ Keira replied with an indulgent smile.

Her face lit up. โ€œThatโ€™s why I like you โ€“ always speaking the truth!โ€

Despite everything, Keira couldnโ€™t help but smile at her antics. After all the drama and chaos she had been through, Sasha still remained herself โ€“ bright, carefree, and unapologetically vibrant. She was living the kind of life most people envied but didnโ€™t have the courage to pursue.

โ€œI didnโ€™t expect you to show up here,โ€ Keira admitted. โ€œHow did you find me?โ€

โ€œPlease, a celebrity like you? One quick search online, and voilร ,โ€ she said, casually waving her hand. Her gaze wandered across the courtyard. โ€œI have to say, you really know how to live. This place is beautiful.โ€

โ€œThank you,โ€ Keira said with a nod. โ€œWhat are you up to these days?โ€

โ€œMaking money,โ€ she replied breezily, leaning in close and whispering, โ€œMenโ€™s money.โ€

Keira frowned, her thoughts immediately jumping to Sashaโ€™s complicated past relationships.

Sasha laughed when she saw Keiraโ€™s expression. โ€œSee? Youโ€™ve already got the wrong idea.โ€

โ€œWell, your phrasing doesnโ€™t exactly help,โ€ Keira said dryly. Then, remembering her daughter, she added, โ€œYouโ€™ve got Nina to think about. Set a good example for her, will you?โ€

At the mention of her daughter, her playful demeanor faltered. A shadow crossed her face, and Keiraโ€™s heart sank. โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong? Did something happen to Nina?โ€

โ€œNo,โ€ she said with a small shake of her head, a bitter smile tugging at her lips. โ€œShe just doesnโ€™t like me anymore. Everything I say or do, she fights me on it.โ€

That didnโ€™t sound like Nina. She was a sweet, well-mannered child. โ€œWhat did you do to upset her?โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t do anything,โ€ Sasha replied, her voice tinged with frustration. โ€œItโ€™s been like this ever since Thorstenโ€™s accident. She hasnโ€™t seen him since, and I canโ€™t tell her the truth. I just told her heโ€™s gone out of town. Now sheโ€™s constantly asking me to call him. Who am I supposed to call? She thinks Iโ€™m lying to her and keeping her from seeing him, so sheโ€™s mad at me all the time.โ€

Keira pictured Nina and Thorsten together. There werenโ€™t many such moments, but it was clear how much Thorsten adored her. It was only natural for Nina to miss her father.

โ€œThis is a tough time for her,โ€ Keira said gently. โ€œYouโ€™ll need to be extra patient with her. Just comfort her as much as you can. Sheโ€™ll get through it eventually.โ€

Sasha nodded silently, her usual lightheartedness replaced by a rare moment of vulnerability. Keira reached out to give her hand a reassuring squeeze. Sometimes, the weight of loss didnโ€™t just linger โ€“ it reshaped the lives of those left behind.
