Chapter 100

LUCA

Without thinking, I kissed her. Her body pressed against mine, and, fuck, I couldn't suppress a moan. I wanted to taste her again.

Delilah pushed me away, then slapped me hard. I sighed, knowing I deserved it.

“You have some nerve,” she said. “Following me around and acting like a possessive boyfriend after treating me like a slut. You said our night together was a mistake, and now I agree. So get out.”

“Delilah, listen—”

“I said, get out!” she yelled, pounding her fists on my chest. I let her hit me. “You bastard! Get out! I don’t want to see you! Why are you still here?!”

She stopped when I grabbed her wrist.

“Listen to me, Delilah. You have to understand—”

“Understand that I was nothing but easy sex, right? I’m not dumb, Luca. My love for you blinded my judgment, but not anymore. So get out,” she said, glaring. I’d never seen such intense anger and hurt in her eyes. Delilah was always so jovial and happy. It hurt to know I’d caused this.

“Can you just listen? Let me explain—”

“There’s nothing to explain. I don’t want to hear—”

“That night wasn’t a mistake. We both know what we felt. It was magical. Every second, all I can think about is that night and how perfectly we fit,” I murmured. Something flickered in her eyes, but it was gone instantly.

“I don’t believe you. I’m just easy sex to you, and you’re trying to get into my pants again,” she murmured. I sighed.

“I won’t deny I want to fuck you again. Hell, that’s all I’ve thought about. But I’m not lying. This time, I’m being genuine,” I murmured. She stared into my eyes, then frowned.

“How do I know you’re being genuine now?” she asked. I cupped her face, a small smile on mine.

“Look into my eyes. Don’t you see how genuine I am?” I asked. She stared, then sighed.

“Then why? Why have you been so mean to me?” she asked. I sighed.

“Damon will never agree to this. He’d rather kill me than let me date you,” I murmured. She scoffed.

“Why does he dictate your life? You and I are old enough to know what we want,” she said. I sighed.

“It’s not that simple, Delilah…”

“It is that simple. You just don’t want to go against Damon,” she pointed out. I sighed.

“My loyalty is to him. He’s afraid that if I date you, I’ll neglect my duties because of you,” I explained. She scoffed.

“So he’s a narcissistic bastard who wants to keep you on a leash. He’s married and wants you to be single? Make it make sense,” she said. I sighed.

“You don’t understand my relationship with Damon. It’s complicated. And he wouldn’t let me be with you because he sees you as my sister. He literally watched you grow up.” She stared at me, then yanked her hand away from mine.

“All I hear are excuses. If you truly want me, you’ll fight for me. Damon can’t dictate your life,” she muttered. I frowned; she was right, but it wasn’t that simple.

“Delilah, please try to understand—”

“If you can’t fight for me, this conversation is over. You can leave,” she murmured.

“Delilah, please give me time, it’s not that simple—”

“Please leave,” she murmured, turning her back and continuing her bath.

I watched her for a while, then moved closer, wrapping my arms around her from behind.

“Please, Delilah, give me time. I want to be with you. I’ve always wanted to be with you, ever since you confessed your crush on me when you were sixteen. I had a crush on you too, and that feeling has grown. I suppressed it because I thought it was wrong. We were raised as siblings, but now it’s bigger than that. I promise I’ll do something about it so we can be together publicly,” I murmured. She was quiet for a while, then sighed. I spun her around so she was facing me. She was so beautiful, almost unreal.

“You want a secret relationship?” she asked softly. I pulled away.

“Just for now, hmm? I promise it won’t be long,” I murmured. She stared at me, then sighed.

“You know I love you and can’t say no to being your girlfriend, even if it’s secretly,” she murmured, smiling. My smile was as bright as her eyes.

“When did I ask you to be my girlfriend?” I joked. She frowned, scoffed, and tried to pull away, but I pulled her into a hug.

“Be my girlfriend. I want you to be mine, Delilah,” I murmured. I could feel her happiness.

“As long as you promise to keep other girls five meters away,” she asked. I chuckled.

“Anything for you, ladybug,” I murmured. She tensed, then pulled away slightly. The happiness in her eyes was clear as she smiled up at me.

“It’s been a while since you called me that,” she murmured. I smiled, leaning in to kiss her.

“From now on, I’ll call you whatever you want. But right now, I just want to hear you moan my name,” I murmured, lifting her into my arms. She squealed, wrapping her legs around my waist. I wasted no time savoring her…
