Chapter 91

Delilah

"I'm sorry," I said. "I didn't mean to tell her. It just slipped out." I followed him, but he ignored me. I jumped in front of him, arms outstretched.

"Can you stop this? I told you to leave me alone," he muttered, clenching his teeth. I frowned.

"No, I can't. I love you. Please talk to me. You've been ignoring me ever since I told Clara about the date being a planned event. I didn't mean to," I murmured. He sighed.

"You could have ruined everything, Delilah. You have no idea how hard Damon's trying to be better for Clara, and you almost ruined it because you can't keep your mouth shut. I shouldn't have told you anything," he murmured, then stepped around me and walked away. I stood frozen.

"He didn't have to be so mean," I murmured, wiping away tears.

I cleared my throat, plastered a smile on my face, and walked toward Damon's room. "What's up, Damon… oh no!" I shrieked, covering my eyes. I'd seen Damon and Clara having sex.

"Get out!" Damon yelled. I ran from the room, hearing the door slam behind me.

I sighed. Everyone was shutting me out. What was I supposed to do? (NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content)

I walked mindlessly down the hall and was about to leave Damon's mansion when I saw Luca talking to Felicia.

I frowned as Felicia touched his bicep and stared seductively at him. Why wasn't he pushing her away? Her audacity!

Without thinking, I marched over, grabbed her hand, and pushed her to the ground.

"Ow!" she cried. I rolled my eyes. Why was she so dramatic?

"Delilah? Are you out of your mind? Why did you do that?" Kade asked, helping Felicia up.

"She was touching him, I thought…"

"You thought what? I told you to leave me alone. My business is none of your concern, and I will never like you the way you want. Stop this nonsense," Luca said sternly. I frowned.

Felicia smirked and snuggled closer to Luca.

"I think I might have broken my wrist," she murmured. Luca led her away, leaving me standing there like an idiot.

Others had gathered to watch, murmuring about the situation.

"What are you murmuring about? Get back to work!" I yelled. They dispersed, and I ran home.

As soon as I got inside, I broke down in tears. Why was he being so mean to me?

Maybe I misread the signs? I thought he felt the same way. Why was he doing this? Maybe I should give up to save myself from the heartache.

"Ugh, I need a drink," I murmured, going to my bar.

I don't know how much I drank, but I felt numb afterward. I passed out on the counter and woke to someone tapping my shoulder.

"Damn it, Delilah, how much did you drink?" My eyes shot open. I recognized the voice. I couldn't see him clearly, but I knew his features.

"What are you doing here, Luca?" I drawled.

"You called me, so I came to check on you. Why did you drink so much?" he asked. I reached for the bottle, but he grabbed it.

"Give it to me!" I whined. He sighed.

"Why are you drinking so much?" he asked. I frowned.

"Because you're mean to me, even though you know how much I love you. Did I do anything? Why do you hate me?" I asked. He sighed.

"I don't hate you," he murmured. I scoffed and tried to grab the bottle, but he put it on a high shelf.

"You're a party pooper…" I shrieked as he lifted me bridal style.

"Put me down," I drawled, pounding his chest, but I soon snuggled closer. He smelled heavenly.

I thought I heard him chuckle, but it was probably the alcohol.

He carried me to my room and as soon as he put me on the bed, I started taking off my shirt.

"What are you doing?" he asked, grabbing my hand. I pouted.

"I'm hot. I need air," I murmured, yanking my hand away and stripping in front of him, watching him.

I may have been drunk, but I saw desire in Luca's eyes, and it emboldened me.

I walked toward him, rubbing his chest and tracing the hem of his pants. He gasped.

"You like what you see, don't you?" I asked innocently.

"Delilah, you're drunk," he murmured. I shook my head.

"I'm not that drunk, and I know what I'm doing. You're not pushing me away. Why?" I asked, still playing with the hem of his pants.

"Delilah…"

"Fuck me, Luca," I muttered boldly. His eyes widened.

"Delilah, you don't know what you're saying."

"I know exactly what I'm saying. I've had so many wet dreams about you. Fuck me, Luca," I urged, pressing my hand against his erection. I could feel how big he was, even through his pants.

He hissed and groaned.

"We can't do this, Delilah," he murmured. I frowned.

"Why? Because of Damon? He's not here, and I won't say a word," I murmured. He still hesitated, so I scoffed and turned to go back to bed. He grabbed my hand, pulled me close, and kissed me.

I kissed him back hungrily.

"Fuck me, Luca," I urged against his lips. He groaned.

"Fuck it," he muttered, picking me up and carrying me to the bed…
