Chapter 136: The Unwanted Encounter
Yvette found out I was planning to break up; she would undoubtedly start digging for details. Summer sighed and changed the subject of their conversation. โDonโt worry about me. Tell me, have you met any new romantic interests lately?โ
At this, Yvetteโs frustration flared up. โThat bastard Bobby keeps sending me flowers and afternoon tea every day. If he wants to pursue me, fine, but the way he looks at me like I should be grateful for his attention is infuriating!โ
Bobby was the youngest son of the Stone family, spoiled rotten since childhood. He changed girlfriends faster than he changed clothes. Although Yvette also had a history of changing boyfriends quickly, Summer was still worried that she might fall into this playboyโs trap.
โBobby is not reliable. If youโre interested in someone, Caleb might be a better option.โ
Yvette scoffed. โDo you think my standards are so low that I would only date your exโs friends?โ
โBesides, if I got involved with them, wouldnโt you have to see that bastard Trevor all the time? Wouldnโt that be annoying for you?โ
As soon as she finished speaking, Yvette looked up and saw a familiar figure in the distance. โSpeaking of the devil. Why does he always show up whenever we mention him?โ
At the entrance of the hot pot restaurant, Bobby, Caleb, and Trevor walked in. Their tall, striking figures immediately attracted attention. Bobby spotted Yvette and walked over. โLetโs eat together.โ
Summer followed Bobbyโs gaze. Just then, Trevorโs dark eyes met hers. Their eyes unexpectedly locked. Summer quickly looked away. Trevorโs expression was unreadable, and his hands were clenched tightly. Caleb glanced between them and subtly raised an eyebrow. Yvette frowned. โGet lost. Dogs and men are not welcome at this table.โ
Bobby sat down shamelessly.
Lately, he had sent his assistant to deliver countless gifts, but this woman hadnโt even looked at them. I still canโt believe I canโt handle a mere actress.
โIโll stay. Trevor, Caleb, come join us.โ
Yvette had never met such a shameless man before. โAre you deaf? I said no. Just looking at your face ruins my appetite.โ
Bobby, humiliated in public, gritted his teeth. โThen youโd better get used to it. Next time, youโll be screaming my name in bed.โ
Summer and Yvette sat in a corner, partially shielded by a wooden partition. But the commotion attracted attention, and people quickly recognized Yvette and took pictures with their phones. Worried that Yvette, who had just cleared her name, might be involved in another scandal, Summer tugged at her sleeves.
โBobby.โ A deep, cold voice came from nearby.
Bobby waved. โTrevor, come over. Summer is also here. We can team up.โ
Trevorโs expression was indifferent. โLetโs go.โ
Bobby thought he had misheard. โWhat?โ
โLetโs go!โ Trevor shot a deep, cold look at Summer, his voice icy.
Bobby looked at Yvette reluctantly. โYou will regret this.โ With that, he strutted off with an arrogant walk.
Caleb was the last to leave. He approached Summer and Yvette and spoke softly. โSorry for disturbing.โ
โItโs fine,โ Summer said. Yvette quietly looked at Caleb. Feeling her gaze, Caleb smiled and nodded at her before walking away. Yvette watched them go.
โDid Trevor take the wrong pills? He didnโt even bother you and just left like that?โ
Summer was also surprised by his behavior. She shook her head, indicating that she didnโt understand. Trevor didnโt take the wrong pills. Ever since he mistakenly slept with Peyton, he thought she was Summer.
Trevor still felt that he had betrayed Summer. After they finished their hot pot, Yvette rushed off to catch her next flight to the movie set. Summer said goodbye to her and went home alone. Suddenly, there was a loud bang. The car shook violently, then began to spin out of control.
