Chapter 262: A Game of Pride and Prejudice
The water in the koi pond was bone-chilling, seeping deep into her flesh like ice needles. Siennaโs outfit had been flimsy to begin with, and now, completely soaked, the fabric clung to her body like a second skin, leaving little to the imagination.
The commotion immediately drew the attention of the patrons in the surrounding private rooms. Several men opened their glass doors to gawk, some even whistling.
โLook, a mermaid!โ
โWhy donโt you strip and dance for us, honey!โ
Humiliation burned through Sienna as she frantically tried to pull at the soaked, sheer fabric of her dress to cover herself. Fraser, his expression indifferent, casually picked up a towel from a nearby tray and wiped his hands as if touching her had soiled them.
Philip and his group rushed out of the private room, confusion and concern on their faces.
โMr. Graham, whatโฆ what happened here?โ Philip asked, staring at Sienna struggling in the water.
Fraser threw the towel at him. โControl your own woman, okay?โ
Without another word, he turned and walked away. Philip immediately motioned to a waiter. โGet her out of there now.โ
When Sienna was finally pulled from the pond, she was shaking violently under the towel draped over her shoulders, but the anger in her eyes burned bright. Philip towered over her, his voice cracking with anger. โWhat the hell have you done?!โ
Seeing him, Siennaโs mind raced. She threw herself against his chest, sobbing uncontrollably. The crowd around them buzzed with whispers and curious stares.
Unable to bear the spectacle, Philip scooped her up and carried her to his room on the second floor, tossing her unceremoniously onto the bed. โExplain. What just happened?โ he demanded coldly.
Sienna choked back tears. โMr. Grahamโฆ he thought I was pretty and demanded that I spend the night with him. But I belong to you, Mr. Philip! I refused, so he got angry andโฆ threw me into the pondโฆโ
Philipโs grip on her chin tightened, his sharp eyes boring into hers, searching for any hint of deception. He had already suffered a recent business loss to Fraser in the Southmere Project deal. Now, hearing this, his anger ignited like gasoline.
โThat bastard!โ He paced angrily, fists clenched. โFirst he screws me over in business, and now he dares to steal the woman I brought here?โ
Sienna sat on the edge of the bed, tears silently streaming down her face. In that pond, she had been exposed, humiliated in front of all those leering men. The memory made her chest ache with unbearable shame.
Fraser. You did this for Summer, didnโt you? Fine. Iโll make sure you both regret it.
Sienna sniffled, her eyes red. โMr. Philipโฆ you have to help me.โ
โHelp you?โ He scoffed. โYou think the Dale Group can compete with the Graham Group? Who the hell do you think you are that Iโd risk angering Fraser for you?โ
Sienna shook her head. โThatโs not what I meant. I justโฆ I canโt stand how unfair this is to you. Fraser did this to taunt you.โ
Philipโs eyes darkened, then moved slowly down her body. Her dress was still soaked, the thin material clinging to her curves, her bare legs gleaming in the dim light.
โYouโre quite a looker,โ he murmured, licking his lips.
A shiver of disgust ran down Siennaโs spine as she realized she had just walked into a wolfโs lair.
โMr. Philip, I should shower first.โ
โTch. Who has time for that?โ
In one swift motion, Philip grabbed the front of her dress and ripped it open.
โAh!โ Siennaโs eyes widened in horror as she scrambled to cover herself.
โN. No! Iโm not ready.โ
โYou said Fraser wanted you, didnโt you?โ Philip grinned, his breath reeking of alcohol. โImagine how pissed heโll be when he finds out I had you first.โ
With that, he shoved her onto the bed. Sienna recoiled from the stench of his sweat, her stomach churning as she struggled. โMr. Philip, wait! Letโs take it slow.โ
But Philip was beyond reason. His hands roamed greedily, his excitement unmistakable. Then, with a dark chuckle, he pushed himself up slightly.
โLetโs make this fun.โ
Siennaโs blood ran cold as she watched him unbuckle his belt. Her breath caught. โNoโฆโ
Tears spilled over as she tried to crawl back, but it was too late. Later Sienna lay motionless on the bed, her body limp, her once pristine back now crisscrossed with angry red welts. Silent tears streamed down her face as hatred coiled in her chest like a poisonous snake. Philip was exactly a monster. But no, I wonโt let only myself suffer this humiliation alone. If I was going to drown in filth, I would take Summer down with me.
