Chapter 1022
Quentin couldnโt hold back any longer and immediately rushed onto the set, pushing aside Vonnie, who was rubbing her hands, and holding Kimberly, who had a face full of grievances, in his arms.
Upon seeing this, Johnathan cursed loudly, yelling "grass," and then suddenly stood up and rushed over.
It can be imagined that the two big men, each protecting their own women, started arguing directly on the set.
Gilbert glanced inside and then shook his head in extreme disgust.
He put away the camera and suddenly walked towards me.
As he approached, Reynaldoโs hand on my shoulder tightened slightly.
I subconsciously glanced at him.
Sure enough, the manโs face had darkened.
I was speechless for a while. Could he be afraid that Gilbert would steal me away?
Not to mention that Gilbert is a foodie without any emotional cells. Even if he had a little bit, I'm not so easily taken away, right?!
Why did he always like to create anxiety for himself all day long?
I patted Reynaldoโs hand and smiled at him.
The man, inexplicably, hummed and turned his face away.
Gilbert had come over.
He stood in front of me, his usually stern and upright face now looking as uncomfortable as if he had eaten something unpleasant.
He said, โMs. Duffy, I have something to say, but I donโt know who to say it to, so I can only say it to you.โ
โHuh?โ
I was taken aback, ignoring Reynaldoโs increasingly gloomy expression, and smiled at Gilbert, saying, โSure, sure, whatโs on your mind? Go ahead and tell me.โ
โI feel that this play is very likely to fail.โ
Umโฆ
Gilbert saying that, I guess he really was despairing over Kimberlyโs acting.
I raised my eyes and glanced at Reynaldo, the biggest investor in our play, ready to see his reaction.
However, the manโs face showed no expression at all, as if whether the play lost money or made money had nothing to do with him.
Gilbert suddenly glanced at the two men arguing loudly on the set and said to me, โI think they are not suitable for acting, nor for working in film and television.โ
I was taken aback and instinctively asked, โThen what are they suitable for?โ
โSuitable for dating!โ
Gilbert said disdainfully, and then walked away with his camera on his back.
I stared at his angry figure in silence, thinking to myself that this man probably has some bias against "love."
โHey, come back to life.โ
Just then, Reynaldoโs cool voice suddenly came from above me.
I looked up and saw his gloomy expression.
He muttered to me, โYou can stare at anyone, except me.โ
โYouโre talking nonsense. Itโs when I look at your body that Iโm most likely to get distracted. And you have the nerve to say that.โ
Reynaldo took a deep breath, as if he hadnโt expected me to be so straightforward.
His eyes suddenly deepened a few shades, leaning closer to me, his face slightly blushing as he asked me, โSo, do you like it?โ
He was very close, and the ambiguous warm breath sprayed over, making my face start to blush.
Although we had long been very close, I could sometimes naturally say some ambiguous things to him.
But once he stared at me with those deep and fiery eyes, I couldnโt help but blush, and my heart would race.
As soon as he leaned in, I felt like the air around me was about to catch fire.
The arguing over there, along with the surrounding chatter, seemed to be instantly "blocked out," as if coming from somewhere far away.
