Chapter 1325

Now, in order to ensure that everyone is safe and sound, I can only give it a try. I went back to the room and took a fruit knife with me, then told the children that I was going out to buy something, and then I went out. I did believe in Reynaldoโ€™s abilities, but I was really afraid that he would take risks. I couldnโ€™t bear to lose him or either of the two children. We arrived at Serene Hotel in just one hourโ€™s drive. While on the way, Matthew sent me the room number. I got off the car and looked up at the floor.

At this moment, Matthewโ€™s phone suddenly rang. Matthew laughed on the other end of the phone, โ€œI see you, come up.โ€ I tightened the knife in my pocket and walked towards the hotel. Matthew lived in room 1907. I came to the door and knocked on it calmly. Before long, the door was pulled open from the inside. I hadnโ€™t seen clearly inside yet when a big hand suddenly reached out towards me, aiming straight for my throat. I was startled and quickly stepped back.

The next second, that big hand was grabbed by another hand. I looked closely and realized that the person who had just reached out to pinch me was actually Moshe. The person gripping his wrist was Matthew. Moshe was obviously injured, looking quite serious. His face and lips were very pale, and there were dark marks on his black shirt, like bloodstains. Moshe stared at me coldly, like a fierce beast staring at its prey. The murderous look in his eyes was quite intimidating. Matthew said to him speechlessly, โ€œDidnโ€™t we agree that Ms. Duffy is my guest, and I told you not to act rashly? Why did you still launch a surprise attack? Luckily, I reacted quickly.โ€

Moshe snorted coldly, angrily pulled back his hand, and then staggered back to the sofa. Matthew glanced at him and sneered, โ€œHe is so competitive that he fell for someone elseโ€™s trick, and now heโ€™s even taking it out on the other personโ€™s wife.โ€ โ€œYou shut up!โ€ Moshe yelled at him breathlessly. Matthew laughed and looked at me, โ€œCome in." I stood still. Moshe was furious, who knew if he would attack me again later. It seemed that Matthew could see my concerns, and he chuckled, โ€œDonโ€™t worry, he is half dead and couldnโ€™t hurt you. He was just bluffing.โ€ I said quietly, โ€œYou can go in, but donโ€™t close the door. It needs to stay wide open like this.โ€ At least I could escape if Moshe tried to kill me later. Matthew shrugged indifferently, โ€œOkay, itโ€™s up to you.โ€ He turned and entered the room. I nervously followed in, but only stood near the door. Matthew glanced at me and sneered, โ€œMs. Duffy is too cautious, donโ€™t worry, Iโ€™m not interested in you, as for himโ€ฆโ€ Matthew said, pointing to Moshe on the sofa, โ€œHe is even less interested in women now.โ€ Moshe glanced at him sideways, then picked up a magazine from the side and covered his face with it, as if he couldnโ€™t be bothered to be seen with me and Matthew. I sarcastically said to Matthew, โ€œNot necessarily, after all, Mr. Galateaโ€™s actions in Yoripero really scared me at the time, so Iโ€™d better be cautious.โ€ When asked about the incident at Yoripero, Matthew chuckled and said, โ€œSorry, that was just a misunderstanding. I wouldnโ€™t dare mess with Ms. Duffy now.โ€ I chuckled noncommittally, โ€œMr. Galatea always talks a good game; when it comes to actual actions, you really canโ€™t compliment him.โ€
