He then looked at us with an air of superiority. “The boss said that if you disturb his rest again, each and every one of you will be packing up and leaving.”
“No, no, no, we…” Supervisor Zhou began, but the bodyguard had already turned and headed upstairs. This warning made Manager Zhou hesitant to approach the boss.
He glared at me fiercely. “I chose you to deliver breakfast because I thought you had a good image and excellent temperament. I expected you to make a good impression on the big boss for our department. But what happened? You really infuriated me.”
“Yeah, I’ve never seen a shameless woman like you before. You pretend to be innocent during the day, but who knows how many men you’ve thrown yourself at behind closed doors.” He continued, “You have no idea how powerful the big boss is, and yet you dare to scheme against him. My colleagues’ accusations grew increasingly harsh. I clenched my fist and said in a deep voice, “If you were really deducted from your salary, I will compensate you with my own salary.”

In the days ahead, I only needed to focus on my work. The big boss didn't return to inspect the construction site.
