Chapter 166

For the sake of my baby's health, even if I'm afraid of him, I will say it.

Reynaldo laughed, tossing his cigarette into a nearby trash can. Leaning back on the sofa, he looked at me with a light laugh. "You were attracted to that man because he doesn't smoke, right?"

"This man's imagination is truly extraordinary," I thought. I confronted him seriously. "Reynaldo, whether you believe it or not, Trevin is just a colleague, nothing more! Please stop speculating about us like this!"

"Colleague?" Reynaldo chewed on the words, his hand casually tapping the back of the sofa, his thoughts unreadable.

He stayed, preventing me from sleeping. I asked again, "What did you come to see me for tonight?"

He looked at the night scene outside and said, after a long while, "The bracelet my grandmother gave youโ€ฆ"

I'd already repaired it; the cracks were invisible.

Chapter 165

Can you help me return it to Grandma? I'm truly sorry about the bracelet.

Reynaldo slowly turned to me, saying word by word, "So, you think what I told you was only about the bracelet?"

"What else is there?" I asked, confused.

Reynaldo's face darkened; he took a deep breath, suppressing his anger. I frowned. "Please be clear. You always say things I can't understand, then blame me for having a bad memory."

Reynaldo laughed, looking amused. He said coldly, "It's not that I wasn't clear, but you've never tried to understand me."

I frowned. What did he mean? I'd been good to him, yet he constantly humiliated me, then blamed me for not loving or caring for him. What's wrong with him?!

I was silently complaining when he walked over, looking down. He asked again, "For the last time, do you want to come back with me?"

No matter how many times you ask, I will still say the same thing: I won't go back with you!
