I was startled and quickly dodged backwards.

He asked with a smile, “Am I that scary?”

I nodded vigorously.

Reynaldo frowned and corrected me, “Call me husband!”

“Honey…” I called out to him with a smile.

He shook his head speechlessly, “Thick-skinned.”

“Honey, I’m so hungry.”

I smiled at him cheerfully.

He got up and put on his robe, rubbing my hair, saying, “Wait, I’ll go cook.”

I watched his back as my heart overflowed with a hint of sweetness. Thick-skinned is thick-skinned, and the fact proves that there is really nothing wrong with being thick-skinned.

After dinner, Reynaldo and I were planning to go to Johnathan’s to pick up the two children. But Johnathan said they were outside playing with the two children, and they would take them to school tomorrow, allowing us to continue enjoying some alone time.
