โYou need to make sure Oasis doesnโt get affected by this report.โ
Yale looked troubled. โMr. Hunt, that canโt be helped. If weโd had someone to kill the rumor early on, maybe Oasis wouldnโt have been affected. But now, itโs hard to say.โ
Tyler frowned in annoyance. โIf you really canโt handle anything, just quit. Letโs not waste each otherโs time.โ
Yale quickly shook his head. โNo, no, Mr. Hunt, I can handle it. Iโll deal with it right away.โ
With that, he scooped the stack of files off the desk, turned, and hurried out.
Just as he opened the office door, he ran straight into Rachel.
Yale froze. โMs. Lloyd.โ
Rachel almost laughed out loud but kept a straight face and greeted him calmly. โYale, thanks for bringing me those clothes last time.โ
Yale blushed as Rachel looked at him. He quickly lowered his head. โMs. Lloyd, I still have to carry out Mr. Huntโs instructions. Iโll leave now.โ
Rachel nodded.
Yale walked past her to the elevator and pressed the button. He couldnโt help but glance back at where Rachel was standing.
He reflexively touched his chest and realized how fast his heart was racing. Rachel really was the most beautiful person he had ever seen. He had actually blushed just from her looking at him.
Thinking about it, he couldnโt help but marvel at how Tyler had some serious self-control. If it were anyone else, they wouldโve caved a long time ago.
Rachel knocked politely on the door.
โCome in.โ Tylerโs voice came from inside.
Rachel steadied herself. She then pushed the door open and walked up to his desk.
โMr. Hunt.โ
Tyler looked up. A flicker of surprise appeared in his eyes. โHow did you get in?โ
Rachel paused before answering honestly.
โI told your security downstairs that I was Rachel, and that I was here to return your jacket. They let me in.โ
At that, something flickered in Tylerโs dark eyes. He had a faint, knowing smile. โSeems like theyโre good at reading the room,โ he murmured.
โSorry? What did you say, Mr. Hunt? I didnโt catch that.โ Rachel thought he was talking to her.
Tyler gave a small, awkward cough and returned to his senses. โNothing. Didnโt you say you came to return my jacket? I wasnโt expecting it so soon.โ
โI didnโt get it back yet. The original jacket is still at the dry cleaner, and it might take a few more days. So I bought you a new one. Iโm not sure if youโll like it.โ
Rachel took the new jacket out of the bag.
Tyler glanced at the label. He then looked at her with a complicated expression. โYou really went all out. This thingโs expensive. Does William know?โ
Chapter 233
It sounded like a simple question, but somehow, coming from Tyler, it carried a strange, ambiguous tone.
She had only bought him a replacement jacket. Why did he have to bring William into it?
Now it sounded like sheโd snuck around behind Williamโs back to buy something for Tyler.
Technically, she had.
If William found out, things would definitely blow up.
Rachel didnโt respond. Instead, she quickly changed the subject.
โTry it on. See if it fits.โ
