Chapter 241
Clearly, Tyler didnโt think so. That woman in the red dress last night had been seductive, so much so that even Rachel, as a woman, had to admit she was stunning. Just one look from her was enough to send a jolt of electricity through someoneโs body. What man wouldnโt be into that? For all Rachel knew, Tyler had already made plans to see her in private.
Tyler straightened his back. Sensing that Rachel had finished dressing his wound, he reached for the shirt beside him and pulled it on.
โI never said I didnโt like your figure.โ
Rachel was already used to his abrupt, half-joking remarks and replied without missing a beat, โPretty sure you donโt get a say in that.โ
Tyler buttoned up his shirt all the way to the top. His voice came out low and steady. โDonโt speak too soon.โ
Right now, Rachel had only one thing on her mind: she wanted to get dinner ready for this man. If she timed it right and he was in a good mood after eating, she could slip in her request.
She straightened her clothes and stood up. โDo you have any groceries in your fridge?โ
โYeah.โ
He didnโt cook often, but the cleaning lady always stocked the fridge with fresh ingredients. It was a strange quirk of his. He didnโt necessarily eat the food, but he liked seeing a fully stocked fridge.
Rachel walked over, opened it, and sure enough, it was packed with ingredients. She picked out a few and headed into the kitchen.
Tyler glanced over at her, watching her tie on an apron and busy herself at the stove. He pulled out his phone and casually snapped a photo of her from behind. He sent it to a group chat.
There were only a few close friends in the group chat. Wallace Peterson quickly responded with a shocked emoji.
[Wait a second. Whoโs that girl? She looks very familiar.]
Luke Ashborn also chimed in with a matching shocked emoji.
[Holy crap, Tyler actually sent a message here? And itโs a girlโs photo? This is historic.]
Jason Denzel was equally surprised.
[Whoa! Isnโt she that some-]
Luke: [Dude, fix your sentence before you hit send.]
Jason: [You guys seriously donโt recognize her?]
Luke: [Do you?]
Wallace: [Canโt quite place her, but yeah, she does look like someone weโve seen before.]
Jason racked his brain for a second. He then quickly typed.
[I got it. Isnโt she from the family that saved Tyler back in the day?]
Luke suddenly remembered, too.
[That girl is Tylerโsโ]
But he didnโt finish the rest of the sentence. Everyone in the group knew what he meant.
Jason: [Tsk tsk. So whatโs Tyler trying to say here? That heโs got a personal chef now?]
Luke jumped on the bandwagon.
[Ugh, must be nice. Not all of us are lucky enough to have some girl making us dinner.]
Tyler, sprawled on the couch with his legs stretched over the coffee table, responded with his usual arrogance.
[Jealous, huh? Because no oneโs cooking for you?]
Jason: [Bet you threatened her into it, didnโt you?]
Luke: [I heard sheโs not the easiest girl to tame. Tyler probably used some leverage.]
Wallace sent an emoji with raised eyebrows.
[Wouldnโt be surprised if sheโs actually the one setting a trap for him.]
Tyler saw that last message and, almost instinctively, narrowed his eyes and looked at Rachel in the kitchen.
