Listen to this chapter:

Rachelโ€™s gaze was wary as she stared at Tyler. Her voice turned cold. โ€œMr. Hunt, whatโ€™s this supposed to mean? Are you going to stop me too?โ€

Tyler looked at her and smiled. โ€œNow that youโ€™ve wrapped up your business with them, donโ€™t you think itโ€™s time we settled ours?โ€

Rachelโ€™s pupils contracted slightly. Her heart clenched. She knew that once Tyler showed up, there was no escaping. She did owe him an explanation.

Well, since sheโ€™d already run into him, there was no running now. All she could do was face it head-on.

โ€œFine. But youโ€™ll have to help me get out of here.โ€

She glanced at Sasha and Yvette. Those two looked like they were ready to tear her apart. There was no way theyโ€™d just let her walk out so easily.

Tylerโ€™s gaze was solemn. Beneath his calm exterior lurked a quiet intensity. โ€œRachel, are you trying to use me again?โ€

Her back went stiff. A chill ran down her spine. She couldnโ€™t help but feel a little guilty. At this point, she had no other option.

โ€œWell, since you already think I used you once, whatโ€™s one more time, right? Help me or not, itโ€™s your call.โ€

Tylerโ€™s brows furrowed. His voice became even colder. โ€œAnd what if I say no?โ€

Rachel smirked before shrugging helplessly. โ€œThen I guess you wonโ€™t be settling that score with me today.โ€

Tyler noticed how relaxed she appeared. She seemed completely unconcerned about whether sheโ€™d make it out of the Lloyd family estate in one piece.

He let out an amused scoff. โ€œAre you latching onto me now?โ€

Rachel smiled a little. โ€œSorry to trouble you, Mr. Hunt.โ€

A moment later, Tyler stood up straight and dropped his hand.

Yvette gasped at the sight. โ€œMr. Hunt, what are youโ€“โ€

Tyler turned around and politely addressed Sasha. โ€œSasha, Iโ€™ve got some business at the office that needs my attention. Iโ€™ll be heading out.โ€

Then he exchanged a look with Rachel and gave her a subtle nod. She understood instantly and began walking toward him. She was prepared to leave with him.

Yvette, seeing this, felt a surge of rage rise up in her chest.

She turned and shouted at the maids, โ€œStop Rachel! Grab those documents from her!โ€

The maids immediately swarmed toward Rachel.

Rachel clutched the papers tightly, refusing to let go.

Just as they were about to engulf her, Tyler yanked Rachel behind him.

โ€œDonโ€™t you dare!โ€ His voice thundered through the hall like a clap of lightning, powerful and commanding.

The maids froze and exchanged nervous glances. They were too afraid to make a move.

Sasha realized things were going sideways. Her expression darkened as her tone turned grim. โ€œMr. Hunt, this is our family matter. Please stay out of it.โ€

Tyler gripped Rachelโ€™s slender wrist and looked up. โ€œWell, I have a score to settle with her. So how about you push your family matter back a bit?โ€

His voice was calm, but Sasha could feel the unshakable authority beneath it.

Still, she tried to salvage the situation. If Rachel walked out with those documents, it could ruin everything for her and Yvette.

Sasha narrowed her eyes and forced herself to speak. โ€œAs long as Rachel hands over what sheโ€™s holding, weโ€™ll let her leave.โ€

Tyler turned to Rachel and asked politely, โ€œWould you like to hand it over?โ€

Rachel answered bluntly, โ€œNo.โ€

Tyler spread his hands and gave a helpless shrug. โ€œWell, you heard her. She said no.โ€
