Chapter 423

The gears in Rachelโ€™s mind shifted as she thought hard about any bad habits she might possibly have while sleeping.

Perhaps snoring?

Her lips twitched as she ventured, โ€œDid I sleepwalk?โ€

When Rachel was young, she used to sleepwalk for a period of time. Melanie even suspected that she was possessed and hired a shaman. The strange thing was, her condition slowly improved with time.

Tyler stuck his hands in his pockets, his gaze landing on Rachel. โ€œDo you have a habit of hugging someone else to sleep like a koala?โ€

Rachel furrowed her brows as she looked at Tyler, confusion in her eyes. โ€œWhat do you mean by that?โ€

Tyler pulled out his phone from his pocket and flashed her a photo.

Rachel was too far away to make out what the photo was, but her instincts told her that it was nothing good.

She stepped forward and grabbed Tylerโ€™s phone to take a good look. That was when she realized that she was hugging him just like a koala hanging on a tree last night. Her legs were wrapped around his waist.

Rachel wished she could dig a hole and bury herself in it. Her cheeks flushed bright red from embarrassment.

She instinctively tapped on the delete button, but Tyler quickly took his phone away.

โ€œI can delete it, but only if you pay up.โ€

Rachel was stunned, flabbergasted at Tylerโ€™s behavior.

โ€œYouโ€™re a wealthy businessman and the boss of a huge company. Do you really need money from someone unemployed?โ€

โ€œYou know that Iโ€™m a businessman, donโ€™t you?โ€ Tyler claimed unabashedly. โ€œA businessman wouldnโ€™t wake up early unless it benefits him.โ€

Rachel considered her options. Leaving such an embarrassing and awkward photo in Tylerโ€™s phone might give her trouble in the time to come.

She tried to negotiate with him. โ€œTell me how much it costs.โ€

โ€œFifty grand,โ€ Tyler demanded.

Rachelโ€™s eyes widened. โ€œFifty grand?! Let me remind you, this is no different from blackmail.โ€

โ€œI could just keep this photo. Run from me, and Iโ€™ll post this online.โ€

A smirk stretched across Tylerโ€™s face as he toyed with his phone.

โ€œIโ€™m sure thereโ€™s internet overseas. Short-form videos are all the rage right now. I donโ€™t even need to offer a reward, and Iโ€™m sure someone will bring you back to me.โ€

Rachel gritted her teeth, but she knew there was nothing she could do to Tyler. All she could do was glare daggers at him.

โ€œYou sly, cunning fox.โ€

She brushed past him and headed down the stairs.

Tyler followed behind her. โ€œYou really donโ€™t want it anymore?โ€

Rachel stopped in her tracks and turned back to look at Tyler and that sneaky look on his face. He was clearly not being genuine in his offer.

Yet, Rachel was still crazy enough to hold out hope for Tyler.

She bit her lip, deciding to trust him just one last time.

Taking a deep breath, Rachel looked up at him.

โ€œMr. Hunt, could you give me a discount on account of our partnership?โ€ She cautiously lifted an open palm. โ€œHow about this?โ€

โ€œFive grand?โ€ Tyler asked.

Rachel shook her head. โ€œFive hundred.โ€

Tyler immediately stuffed his phone back in his pocket. โ€œLetโ€™s have breakfast. Yale brought some food for us.โ€

He walked past Rachel and settled down at the dining table, as if nothing had happened.

Rachel pursed her lips, suspecting that Tyler was doing it on purpose.

He deliberately made an offer to her, knowing that no one save a fool would buy a photo for fifty grand.
