When Tyler heard that, he reacted as if he had just heard a joke. โDoes she even need to look for a sugar daddy? Are those women blind or what?โ
Yale quickly nodded. โExactly, exactly! With Ms. Lloydโs looks and current abilities, there are plenty of men throwing themselves at her. She definitely doesnโt need to go out of her way to look for anyone.โ
Tyler pressed his tongue against the inside of his cheek. โHow did she handle it?โ
At the mention of this, Yale immediately launched into a detailed explanation.
โMs. Lloyd was actually pretty impressive. Her sister tried to step in and smooth things over, but Ms. Lloyd shut her down in just a few sentences. Then she told those women to write self-reflections and read them out loud at tomorrowโs company-wide meeting.โ
Tyler shook his head. He seemed unsatisfied.
โSheโs still being too soft. With gossipy people like that, if you donโt punish them hard enough, theyโll just do it again.โ
Having worked with Tyler for many years, Yale knew exactly what this kind of comment meant. He already had something in mind.
Yale nodded. โWhat would you like me to do, Mr. Hunt?โ
โThose women were clinging to Yvetteโs influence. Iโd wager theyโve caused trouble in the company before. It just hasnโt been brought to light yet.โ
Yale instantly grasped what Tyler was implying.
โIโll take care of it.โ
Tyler added, โAlso, check if sheโs running into anything difficult on her end. Give her a hand if needed. After all, sheโs my girlfriend now. If she gets bullied, thatโs a slap to my face.โ
Tyler had a cold expression on his face, and he sounded serious.
Yale knew perfectly well that he was just finding himself an excuse to help Rachel. Even before they got together, Tyler had done countless things behind her back to support her.
In fact, Yale had already lost count.
Tyler just had too much pride. If only he had come clean to Rachel earlier and told her the truth, Yale didnโt believe for a second that she would have turned him down.
Meanwhile, Rachel had just gotten ready to take Cecilia to complete the onboarding paperwork, but was stopped by the HR department.
โSorry, Ms. Lloyd. Although youโre now the biggest shareholder, we still need Ms. Yvetteโs approval for any new hires.โ
The employee looked nervous. No one had expected the sudden power shift at Lloyd Enterprise.
The former fake heiress, Rachel, had now somehow become the real heiress.
Life truly was full of twists.
Since the company hadnโt started personnel restructuring yet, everyone was confused and afraid to pick sides too soon.
At this point, no one wanted to offend anyone.
Rachel understood immediately. โSo what youโre saying is, if I go to Yvette and she gives the green light, Cecilia can officially come on board?โ
โYes, thatโs exactly it,โ the employee said with a forced smile.
โFine.โ
Rachel pulled Cecilia along and headed straight to Yvetteโs office.
At first, she politely knocked on the door, but it was dead silent inside as if no one was there.
Cecilia hesitated and said, โMaybe sheโs not in?โ
Rachel pushed the door open without hesitation.
Yvette was indeed inside, sitting at her desk reading some documents. When she heard the noise, she looked up and saw Rachel and Cecilia walk in.
Although she couldnโt openly lash out at Rachel, she had no problem taking it out on Cecilia.
Her expression darkened. Her tone was lofty, and she sounded full of superiority.
โDonโt you know how to knock? You donโt even have basic manners.โ
Cecilia quickly explained, โWe did knock, Ms. Yvette. You probably didnโt hear it.โ
โOh, I didnโt hear it? Then would you please step outside and knock again properly?โ
Cecilia pursed her lips. Her chest rose and fell.
It wasnโt that Yvette hadnโt heard. It was obvious she had ignored them on purpose.
Cecilia hadnโt even officially joined the company yet, and this was the deputy CEO. She couldnโt afford to snap back at Yvette.
