Listen to this chapter:

Everyone in the room, including Rachel, stared at Tyler in shock. What in the world was he doing? Why was he exposing their relationship? Wasnโ€™t it clearly stated in their agreement that they would keep their relationship under wraps for the time being, unless they had no choice?

The main concern was that while she might have a way out, things might become troublesome for Tyler if their agreement were to be terminated. Yet, he exposed their relationship just like that.

Sasha was the first to recover from her shock. She found Tylerโ€™s statement unbelievable. โ€œMr. Hunt, whatโ€ฆ what did you just say? Rachelโ€ฆ Rachel is your girlfriend?โ€

Tyler glanced coldly at her. โ€œDo you have a problem with that?โ€

โ€œButโ€ฆโ€

Sasha wanted to say that Rachel was a divorcee and that there was no need for him to stoop to marrying a divorcee like her, even though he had been single for many years.

Gerald was equally taken aback. He never expected Rachel to get herself involved with Tyler. Instead of being happy with the news, he looked grim. โ€œTyler, although Iโ€™ve never met your father, I have at least heard of his temper.

โ€œWeโ€™d have nothing to say about you two being together if Rachel had never married. The problem right now is that sheโ€™s a divorcee. Your family will never agree to you marrying a divorcee. Whatโ€™s more, she canโ€™t afford to wait. We want her to get married again as soon as possible so she has someone to rely on for the rest of her life.โ€

Gerald made himself very clear, but his words chilled Rachelโ€™s heart. He despised her for embarrassing the family and thought she wasnโ€™t worthy of the Hunts. The nerve of her to dream about marrying Tyler as a divorcee! Of all the eligible men in Yurelia City, Tyler was the cream of the crop. How could he stoop to being with a divorced woman?

Rachel wouldnโ€™t have cared if those words came from an outsider, but Gerald was her grandfather. How could he disparage her like that?

Sasha chimed in as well.

โ€œThatโ€™s right, Mr. Hunt. Itโ€™s not that we disapprove of the two of you being together, but if this is just for noveltyโ€™s sake and youโ€™re not planning to take it seriously, itโ€™ll be better if you stay away from Rachel. You might be able to afford playing the game, but she certainly canโ€™t. If she wasted a few more years with you, she might be doomed for the rest of her life.โ€

Upon hearing the commotion, Yvette came downstairs and immediately noticed how tense the air was. Her face fell when she saw Tyler standing next to Rachel. She tightened her hold over the railing and said derisively, โ€œYes, Mr. Hunt. You really should think things through. My sister divorced William. If youโ€™re just fooling around with her, youโ€™ll be hard-pressed to explain things to both sides if things were to go south.

โ€œRachel was with my ex-brother-in-law for seven years and ended up divorced. Arenโ€™t you worried that sheโ€™d break up with you one day when sheโ€™s in a bad mood and ruin your reputation?โ€

Sasha stepped forward and earnestly tried to convince Tyler as well, as if for his own good. โ€œYes, Mr. Hunt. Whatโ€™s more, you and Yvette almost got engaged before, but it fell through because of various reasons. We found it a huge pity, really.โ€
