Chapter 733
Rachel was always stubborn. Deep down, she wanted it too, but when it came to speaking out loud, she ended up rejecting the offer.
โNo, thanks. Itโs nothing special to look at, anyway. Go to bed.โ
She looked away and was ready to slip out of Tylerโs hold, but he pulled her right back into his arms.
โWho was the one swallowing earlier? I donโt think I need to spell it out. You were sneaking looks a minute ago, and now that Iโm letting you look, you wonโt.โ
Rachel instinctively argued, โYou say I was sneaking a look. Whereโs the proof?โ
โDo I need proof?โ
Tylerโs warm fingertip brushed across her lips, sending a shiver through her body.
Rachel had never been able to resist him. Her ears burned red-hot, and she was afraid that if she kept staring at him, her feelings would be completely exposed.
She turned her face away and pushed at him. โJust let me sleep already.โ
Tyler deliberately tugged his robe open wider, revealing his chest in full. He must have found her flustered reaction amusing, because he laughed low in his throat, the sound rough with fatigue yet so enticing it made her ears buzz.
โReally not going to look? Right now Iโm letting you, but if you change your mind later, donโt blame me.โ
โIโm not looking. Itโs not like I havenโt seen it before. Nothing new.โ
Her words said one thing, but her eyes betrayed herโflicking back toward his chest all the same.
Tyler didnโt tease her further. He simply pulled her into his arms. โFine. If you want to look, then look. Iโm yours now. You can look wherever you want.โ
That โwherever you wantโ line made her cheeks turn red again.
At this point, Rachel couldnโt not look. Tyler caught her chin between his fingers, forcing her to face him, and her gaze landed squarely on his chest.
She had to admit that his body really was attractive.
Without meaning to, she found herself lost in it. Tyler leaned forward. The warmth of his body and his cigarette scent overwhelmed her.
โSo? Howโs the view? Satisfied?โ
Rachelโs every muscle was tense. Her cheeks turned even redder.
Almost as if under a spell, she nodded.
โYeah.โ
Tyler smiled in satisfaction.
โThen I guess itโs my turn now.โ
โHuh?โ Rachel blinked in confusion.
His lips, hot and demanding, pressed down against hers. Rachel tilted her head back slightly, taking in the heated kiss.
Logic screamed at her to resist, but the truth was she didnโt want to at all.
Being close to Tyler didnโt repel her. It made her feel good. He always restrained his own desire, putting her comfort first. In moments like this, he gave her a sense of being cared for.
If nothing else, in this aspect, the two of them fit together perfectly.
As Rachel gazed at him, her mind flashed back to the talk with Cecilia earlier that day.
Maybe she really did like Tyler.
But was liking someone such a terrible thing? Even with all the unresolved problems she had, it didnโt stop her from caring for someone.
Liking Tyler wasnโt a burden. It was something to be happy about.
Once she had someone she could emotionally rely on, no matter what happened, she would have that person to share it with. She wouldnโt be alone anymore.
