Chapter 782

The moment Tyler thought of what had happened previously, he rubbed his temples in irritation.

Ray seemed to understand what he said and looked at him while whining on the floor.

Rachel scooped Ray up and rubbed his furry face. โ€œLook how cute Ray is! Heโ€™s definitely not going to cause trouble tonight, right?โ€

Ray barked twice in response, as if agreeing.

Rachel pressed her forehead against Rayโ€™s. โ€œGood boy.โ€

She turned to Tyler. โ€œBesides, heโ€™s the only dog at home. I guess itโ€™s only natural for him to feel a little lonely sometimes.โ€

Tyler suddenly realized something. โ€œSo what youโ€™re saying is, if we got him a companion, that would solve the problem?โ€

โ€œYeah, pretty much. At least then he probably wouldnโ€™t be clinging to us all the time.โ€

Rachel thought he was just making small talk, so she answered casually.

Tyler tucked the blanket over her. Rachel instinctively grabbed the corner of it.

โ€œDonโ€™t cover me that much, Iโ€™m not cold.โ€

As Tyler leaned closer to her, he caught a faint scent. He sniffed again.

โ€œWhat did you just drink?โ€

โ€œOh, Wanda said she brewed some new wine earlier, so I tried a bit. Itโ€™s really good. Do you want to try some?โ€

Rachel could still taste the delicious flavor in her mouth. She was completely unaware of the look in Tylerโ€™s eyes.

โ€œYeah, Iโ€™d like to. I was curious about Wandaโ€™s wine, anyway,โ€ he said.

โ€œItโ€™s really good. Iโ€™ll tell Wanda to pour you a glass.โ€

She was secretly thinking she could sneak another glass for herself.

Just as she started to lift the blanket, Tyler yanked her back.

He leaned forward, tilted her chin up with his fingers, and said hoarsely, โ€œNo need for all that trouble.โ€

Before Rachel could react, his lips were already on hers.

The faint taste of wine lingered in her mouth, but it was intoxicating, like a drink with much higher proof.

It made them both feel a little drunk. Their kiss was more intense than ever before.

His tongue slid past her teeth. The movements were both delicate and relentless.

Rachelโ€™s mouth began to ache, so she gave his tongue a gentle bite.

Tyler froze for a moment before nipping her lip and letting go. Under the warm glow of the bedside lamp, his eyes seemed to glimmer. Drawing out his words, he said, โ€œYeah, it is pretty good.โ€

He chuckled and added, โ€œI think I could use another taste.โ€

Rachel muttered, โ€œHow could you possibly tell that wayโ€ฆโ€

Silence fell between them for a moment.

Tyler pulled her into his arms, lowered his gaze, and brushed his thumb across the corner of her lips. It was just enough pressure to make her wonder if it would hurt, though he was careful not to.

โ€œI feel like I canโ€™t relax unless I see you every day.โ€

Rachel remained silent.

โ€œEven not seeing you for a day feels unbearable.โ€

He rubbed her lips red and kissed her again.

Rachel felt dizzy from his kisses. โ€œTyler, when have we ever gone a whole day without seeing each other? We see each other every day.โ€

โ€œYeah, but it still doesnโ€™t feel like enough."

Tyler patted her head again and again like she was a child.

Rachel felt uncomfortable all over. Tilting her head back, she gave him a strange look.

โ€œWhy do I feel like youโ€™re acting completely out of character all of a sudden? Whatโ€™s gotten into you?โ€
