Chapter 811

โ€œIโ€ฆโ€

Rachel was starting to regret calling Yvette over. She was such a loudmouth! Tyler wouldnโ€™t have found out so quickly if it werenโ€™t for Yvette.

At first, Rachel had wanted to keep things under wraps for longer. Yale told her that Tyler had no doubts whatsoever when he signed the contracts. Everything had gone as she had planned.

With a sister like that, who needs enemies?

Tyler came here intending to smoke. Noticing how unwell Rachel looked and her lack of rest, he pulled his hand out of his pocket.

โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you tell me something so important? Did you take it too seriously when I asked you to take care of me? Youโ€™re not just trying to take care of me, but youโ€™re trying to take care of my company too.โ€

Tyler sounded like he was teasing Rachel, but she could sense a tinge of angerโ€”even mockeryโ€”in his tone.

She lowered her head guiltily. She knew Tyler would mind it, which was why she chose to hide it from him in the first place. Who knew that Yvette would blab about it today?

Rachel didnโ€™t know what to say and chose to keep her silence.

Tyler took another two steps toward herโ€”each step he took making Rachel even more tense. The lights in the backyard flickered with the wind, and when the dim ray of light shone on his jawline, she could see the veins popping on it. He tugged at his tie, the platinum cuffs at his sleeve glinting in the night.

โ€œYou forged my signature the last time, and now, youโ€™ve secretly transferred all of Lloyd Enterpriseโ€™s projects to me. Youโ€™re jumping from one pit to another, do you know that? Lloyd Enterprise was in a precarious state to begin with, and now you transferred all their projects to me. Lloyd Enterprise will end up being an empty shell of a company and be on the verge of bankruptcy.โ€

Rachel furrowed her brows.

โ€œI donโ€™t have the capacity to care for so many things. Without someone suitable to take over Lloyd Enterprise, itโ€™ll be dead sooner or later. Using Lloyd Enterprise to save LS Enterprise isnโ€™t a bad deal.โ€

She tugged the hem of Tylerโ€™s shirt, suddenly thinking of the perfect explanation.

โ€œJust think about it. Even if I didnโ€™t transfer the projects from Lloyd Enterprise to you, given their current operations, bankruptcy would only be a matter of time. With Yvetteโ€™s capabilities, Lloyd Enterprise would be ruined in her hands. Do you get what I mean? In my opinion, using Lloyd Enterprise to rescue your company is a great deal. That way, the demise of Lloyd Enterprise wouldnโ€™t be in vain.โ€

Tyler, amused by Rachelโ€™s words, chuckled. He bent over and pinched her chin; the gesture was tender yet domineering.

โ€œDo you think all the shareholders of Lloyd Enterprise are blind? Theyโ€™ll swallow you whole when they find out you transferred all the companyโ€™s projects elsewhere.โ€

Tyler knew that Lloyd Enterprise was neither huge nor small, but it was sufficient to sustain all of their livelihoods. Lloyd Enterpriseโ€™s shareholders were advanced in years, and the dividends they received monthly were important to them. It wasnโ€™t something they were ready to let go.

Tyler glanced at the details of the projects when he signed them and noticed that Rachel had transferred the most core projects in Lloyd Enterprise to his company.
