Chapter 816

Samantha couldn’t take back her words. She knew that Rachel would only use them against her.

She clenched her fists, left with no other choice except to take the slap.

However, the pain she expected never came. When she opened her eyes, she saw William grabbing Rachel’s wrist just before Rachel’s hand came down hard.

She heaved an inward sigh of relief.

The next moment, however, Rachel slapped Samantha on the other cheek with her other hand.

Samantha was stunned by that unexpected move.

What just happened?

Her eyes widened as she looked at Rachel in disbelief.

“Y–You…”

Rachel could tell that Samantha’s mask was slipping. She said self-righteously, “Didn’t you ask for it? Why are you glaring at me like that?”

William thought that Rachel had gone overboard. He flung Rachel aside, who stumbled a few steps back and almost lost her balance.

A warm palm rested on her back and held her steady. Rachel turned to see who it was.

Tyler.

She stared at him in surprise. “What are you doing here?”

“My girlfriend is out here being bullied. How could I stay there?”

Samantha’s jaw hung open; she was speechless.

She quickly raised a hand to wipe her tears away and choked out, “Tyler, I know you love Rachel, but she slapped me first. Everyone saw that. You can’t twist the truth or try to defend what she did.”

As Tyler held Rachel steady, his eyes grew cold, and the aura he exuded was imposing and intimidating.

“Everyone heard you asking Rachel to hit you. You said that as long as she forgave you, you’d be fine whether she hit or scolded you. Why are you now blaming her for doing just that?”

William stood straight and quickly spoke up for Samantha.

“Even so, Rachel was wrong to slap Samantha. Samantha was just being cordial! She didn’t expect Rachel to really hit her. I tried to stop Rachel, but she went ahead and slapped Samantha with her other hand.”

“So what? She herself asked for that slap. Now, you two are upset that Rachel went ahead to slap her. Is this really all you two are made of?”

Tyler wrapped Rachel protectively in his arms, shooting William and Samantha a piercing glare.

Samantha was stunned into silence by Tyler’s words, tears still hanging on her cheek. She looked helplessly at William before looking back at Tyler and Rachel, her entire body shaking with anger.

The next moment, she burst into loud tears, crying at the top of her lungs.

“You…you two are just bullies!”

Tyler smirked as he looked at Samantha’s pale, pitiful face.

“You asked for it, and now you’re sobbing and asking for help. Great acting, I must say.”

He even applauded Samantha.
