Chapter 832

Stanley Lloyd walked over and spoke softly to Rachel.

"Rachel, if this were just a private fuss, it might be fine, but this is the wrong occasion. Causing a scene like this would upset your father. It’s awkward for everyone. The commotion with the Lewises earlier has already put people on edge. If this doesn’t get settled fast..."

At first, Rachel had been angry because Sasha was shamelessly greedy. Sasha hadn’t even settled past debts with Rachel, and now she was staging this spectacle.

Rachel crossed her arms and looked coldly at Sasha on the floor. “Let her make a scene if she wants. She can do whatever. At worst, I’ll call the police.”

“No, you can’t call the police! With so many people here, it’ll get messy if word gets out. I think we should resolve this quickly and get her to leave.”

Rachel thought it over for a moment before agreeing with him. She stepped forward, towered over Sasha, and asked her plainly, “Sasha, you want money, don’t you?”

Sasha didn’t fully understand why Rachel asked that, but she nodded firmly. “Yes. I want money.”

“Alright. No problem. Tell me how much and I’ll see to it. But I want to ask one thing. You said your son is one of us. Are you sure about that?”

Rachel’s question stunned Sasha. Her eyes widened, and she stared at Rachel.

“What are you talking about, Rachel? How can you say something like that? Are you sick? I’m nothing like your father! Forget Yvette, you’re an illegitimate daughter yourself. This is outrageous!”

Rachel didn’t waste time arguing over petty insults. She went straight for the jugular.

“Fine. Since you’re saying that, let me be clear. We’ll only give money to a child who is actually part of the Lloyd family. If your son isn’t one of us, Sasha, I won’t give you a penny. I’ll make you return everything you took before, too.”

Sasha shrieked. “Rachel, you’re too cruel! You’d make up lies like that just to avoid paying?”

Rachel tilted her head and snorted in contempt.

“Sasha, you seriously underestimate me if you think I’ll stoop to your level to get what I want.”

She called Jerry over, took a document from him, and held it up in front of Sasha.

“Do you really want me to read this report out loud in front of everyone?”

Sasha’s eyes darted away. Panic began to show on her face. “W–What report, Rachel? What are you up to now? You’ll say anything to avoid paying!”

Seeing Sasha unravelling but still refusing to come clean, Rachel decided not to spare her dignity.

“Sasha, this is a paternity test. It proves your son isn’t part of the Lloyd family. As for who his father is, that’s something only you can answer.”

There was a sudden outcry.

“No way! The child isn’t even Jim’s? Has Sasha been seeing someone else?”

“She used to love Jim! How could she betray him like this? It’s disgusting!”

“Not a Lloyd child and still asking for money? Who does she think she is?”

Someone else shouted from the crowd.

“Rachel, call the police, sue her, and make her return all the money she took from the Lloyds!”
