Chapter 891

โ€œWandaโ€™s right.โ€

Tylerโ€™s short reply was enough for Rachel to realize that he wanted a wedding too.

She thought it over again. What Wanda said wasnโ€™t wrong. She herself had never had a wedding, and maybe she felt it didnโ€™t matter. But that didnโ€™t mean she should keep Tyler from having one.

So, she quickly changed her stance. โ€œAlright then, letโ€™s do it. Once things settle down with your company, weโ€™ll have the wedding.โ€

A smile appeared on Tylerโ€™s face. โ€œGood. Weโ€™ll talk later about what kind of wedding we want.โ€

Wanda suddenly chimed in, โ€œWhy not go with a modern theme? I remember your parents had one like that back then, and it was stunning.โ€

Rachel perked up the moment she heard it. โ€œYes! That could be nice. My parents had a modern wedding, too. We still have the photos at home.โ€

She had always loved a modern wedding, probably because she had been influenced by her mom since she was little.

Tyler sealed the deal with one line. โ€œThen weโ€™ll do a modern wedding.โ€

After dinner, Rachel lounged on the couch, full and satisfied. Wanda brought her some strawberries and cantaloupe. Rachel had thought she was too stuffed, but the moment she saw the fruit, she suddenly had an appetite again.

She popped a strawberry in her mouth. โ€œWanda, how did you know I love strawberries and cantaloupe?โ€

โ€œOf course, sir told me,โ€ Wanda beamed.

Rachel hadnโ€™t expected that Tyler would even remember her favorite fruits.

Wanda caught the surprise in her eyes and added, โ€œHonestly, he knows you far better than you realize.โ€

Rachel was a little surprised that Tyler really did know her well. One wouldnโ€™t pay that level of attention without caring deeply.

Tyler was truly good to her.

Wanda brewed a cup of coffee for Tyler. โ€œMadam, you rest on the couch. Iโ€™ll bring this up to him.โ€

Rachel glanced at the time on her phone. โ€œAt this hour? Heโ€™s still drinking coffee?โ€

If he drank that now, heโ€™d be up all night.

โ€œHe said heโ€™ll probably be working through the night,โ€ Wanda explained.

Rachel frowned. Tyler never took care of his health. She got up and told Wanda, โ€œLet me take it. Iโ€™ll talk to him.โ€

โ€œAlright,โ€ Wanda agreed, figuring Rachel might be able to talk some sense into him. The way he had been pushing himself lately really wasnโ€™t good.

Rachel carried the coffee upstairs. This time, she was careful. She knocked first.

No way was she barging in on another video call. That would be too embarrassing.

โ€œCome in.โ€

Rachel opened the door and saw his gaze was fixed on the computer screen. He didnโ€™t even glance up. She still didnโ€™t know exactly what scale of projects heโ€™d taken on lately, but it was plain to see he was swamped.

It seemed like all this had started right after he found out she was pregnant.

From the look of things, he really was planning to stay up all night.

She walked over and set the coffee down on his desk. โ€œItโ€™s too late for this. Whatever it is, finish it tomorrow. Donโ€™t forget what Dr. Jenkins said. Even if your sleep problems seem under control for now, if you mess up your biological clock, it could all come crashing down overnight.โ€
