Chapter 891
โWandaโs right.โ
Tylerโs short reply was enough for Rachel to realize that he wanted a wedding too.
She thought it over again. What Wanda said wasnโt wrong. She herself had never had a wedding, and maybe she felt it didnโt matter. But that didnโt mean she should keep Tyler from having one.
So, she quickly changed her stance. โAlright then, letโs do it. Once things settle down with your company, weโll have the wedding.โ
A smile appeared on Tylerโs face. โGood. Weโll talk later about what kind of wedding we want.โ
Wanda suddenly chimed in, โWhy not go with a modern theme? I remember your parents had one like that back then, and it was stunning.โ
Rachel perked up the moment she heard it. โYes! That could be nice. My parents had a modern wedding, too. We still have the photos at home.โ
She had always loved a modern wedding, probably because she had been influenced by her mom since she was little.
Tyler sealed the deal with one line. โThen weโll do a modern wedding.โ
After dinner, Rachel lounged on the couch, full and satisfied. Wanda brought her some strawberries and cantaloupe. Rachel had thought she was too stuffed, but the moment she saw the fruit, she suddenly had an appetite again.
She popped a strawberry in her mouth. โWanda, how did you know I love strawberries and cantaloupe?โ
โOf course, sir told me,โ Wanda beamed.
Rachel hadnโt expected that Tyler would even remember her favorite fruits.
Wanda caught the surprise in her eyes and added, โHonestly, he knows you far better than you realize.โ
Rachel was a little surprised that Tyler really did know her well. One wouldnโt pay that level of attention without caring deeply.
Tyler was truly good to her.
Wanda brewed a cup of coffee for Tyler. โMadam, you rest on the couch. Iโll bring this up to him.โ
Rachel glanced at the time on her phone. โAt this hour? Heโs still drinking coffee?โ
If he drank that now, heโd be up all night.
โHe said heโll probably be working through the night,โ Wanda explained.
Rachel frowned. Tyler never took care of his health. She got up and told Wanda, โLet me take it. Iโll talk to him.โ
โAlright,โ Wanda agreed, figuring Rachel might be able to talk some sense into him. The way he had been pushing himself lately really wasnโt good.
Rachel carried the coffee upstairs. This time, she was careful. She knocked first.
No way was she barging in on another video call. That would be too embarrassing.
โCome in.โ
Rachel opened the door and saw his gaze was fixed on the computer screen. He didnโt even glance up. She still didnโt know exactly what scale of projects heโd taken on lately, but it was plain to see he was swamped.
It seemed like all this had started right after he found out she was pregnant.
From the look of things, he really was planning to stay up all night.
She walked over and set the coffee down on his desk. โItโs too late for this. Whatever it is, finish it tomorrow. Donโt forget what Dr. Jenkins said. Even if your sleep problems seem under control for now, if you mess up your biological clock, it could all come crashing down overnight.โ
