Chapter 190: Do You Want to Experience It?

Dominic asked casually, "Do you want to experience it?"

Bella didn't understand. "What?"

He closed his eyes and muttered, "Nothing. Just focus on driving. After a long night, I don't want another car accident."

His words silenced her. Her eyes widened as she concentrated on the road. How could she be distracted with him in the car?

They stayed home all day, sleeping. Bella awoke to a call from Simon, urging her to finalize her name change paperwork. She felt irritated. The thought of Dominic's sleepless night caring for her caused internal conflict.

One voice urged her to stay; another warned her to end it.

Rationality prevailed. She got out of bed and opened her bedside drawer, where she kept her documents. It had to be done eventually.

She was stunned to find all her documents except the ones she needed. She couldn't recall moving them.

She searched the room, finding nothing. Just as she felt puzzled, Dominic's voice came from behind her. "Are you looking for these?"

Turning to see him holding the documents, she blanked. "Why do you have them?"

He stood in the doorway, still in pajamas, looking less stern than in his suit. However, the coldness in his gaze was unmistakable. He seemed to know her plans.

Panicked, she tried to act casual, hoping he wouldn't notice her intention as she approached him. "What are you doing with these?"

His lips curled into a cold grin. "I just wanted to see when you'd need them. That was quick. It's only been a few days since Simon approached you. Didn't you hesitate at all?"

Her hopes shattered. Even with the documents, she couldn't leave. An explanation was unnecessary; he already knew.

He grabbed her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "I don't think Simon told you what I said to him. I made it clear I'd never let you go."

Bella didn't know when they had spoken, but she was astonished, perplexed, and hurt. She didn't struggle, but her body tensed.

Dominic, furious, sneered, "Don't be nervous. Honestly, I think Simon's company isn't worth his effort. Even if he gave it to me, I wouldn't want it. He doesn't know his place. He messed with the wrong guy. Nobody has ever dared to fight me over someone."

Terrified, she tried to break free, stepping back, but no words came. She scowled, waiting for him to explode.

He stepped closer, his gaze burning. "Didn't you say no one would inherit my fortune since I don't have children? I think you should handle this matter. After all, if you're willing to accept Simon's money, why not a child? If I die, the Miller family will be yours. That's far more tempting than Simon's million dollars. Since you love taking risks for money, why not give this a try?"
