Chapter 200: No Longer a Secret
Only when it was time for bed did Bella realize Dominic was sharing her room. His luggage had been there all along; she simply hadn't noticed. She watched his silhouette through the steamy bathroom door. Even though they'd been out with Leonard and the others, wasn't he worried about their relationship becoming obvious? Anyone with a brain would figure it out if they shared a room.
In the past, he avoided such situations. Except for that one time when he'd helped her in front of Simon and his wife, he'd never acknowledged their relationship to anyone. This was the first time he'd willingly included her in his circle of friends. Did this mean she was no longer a secret?
As she pondered this, the sound of running water stopped. Dominic opened the door, stepping out with only a towel around his waist. Wet hair dripped from his head, and water trickled down his perfectly sculpted chest and abs, disappearing beneath the towel. Bella couldn't help but gulp; her eyes were glued to him.
He chuckled lightly, whether out of disdain or something else. "Seen enough? If so, go take a shower. You're sweaty and gross."
Bella coughed awkwardly. "Why are we sharing a room? Aren't you worried they'll find out about us?"
"Do you really think they don't know?" Dominic sat on the edge of the bed.
Bella was taken aback. So, only she thought they didn't know. No wonder Leonhard had acted like he understood their relationship from the beginning. Did Leonard know, too?
Everyone was exhausted, and the house was quiet. Even Pudding was curled up asleep on the carpet by the bed. Bella considered asking for a room change but decided it was too much trouble, letting it go for the night. She figured she could talk to Leonard about it tomorrow.
After her shower, she found Dominic already lying down. She climbed into bed on the other side, leaving ample space between them. She didn't have high hopes for this "no-crossing zone," praying that since she'd satisfied him that afternoon, he wouldn't bother her again tonight. But barely two minutes later, he scooted over and pulled her into his arms as if she were a pillow. He even draped a leg over her.
Bella shifted uncomfortably. "I can't sleep like this."
He buried his nose in her hair and inhaled deeply. "Don't move."
Noticing he wasn't making any further advances, she stayed still. As long as he didn't do anything, she could tolerate it.
It turned out that, alone with a woman, a man inevitably thinks about certain things. Before long, his hand found its way to her chest. Bella grabbed his wandering hand. "Don't. We already did it this afternoon. I want to sleep."
Dominic, always straightforward, rolled on top of her and kissed her intensely.
The kiss was hot and aggressive. Bella quickly surrendered, gasping for breath. When his lips trailed down to her collarbone, she realized her clothes had already been removed.
She expected another rough encounter, but he was surprisingly patient. He slowly ignited her desire, and when she completely melted into his arms, he moved in.
