“Old, husband?” She slightly widened her eyes. Winford was very tall. From her perspective, she could only see his strong jawline, and she had to look up to see his handsome and sharp features.

“Didn’t you want me to stand up? Why are you so shocked?” The man’s cello-like voice echoed above her head.

Ophelia turned around and hugged the man’s strong waist, her eyes sparkling. “Honey, you look so handsome!”

When he sat down, he didn’t look bad, but when he stood up, he completely reached another level of handsomeness. It made it clear at a glance how outstanding, dazzling, and charismatic this man was, and one could easily fall for him at first sight.

Winford remained expressionless, but there was an added air of joy about him as he held her hand and went downstairs.

Ophelia turned around and said, “You haven’t drunk the porridge I made for you yet!”

“Go apply the medicine first,” the man said firmly.

Seeing Winford holding Ophelia’s hand as they went downstairs, the subordinates who were talking with Graham downstairs were all taken aback.

“Mr. Winford!” They all stood up, respectfully speaking, while quietly glancing at Ophelia with astonished expressions. As Winford’s trusted subordinates, they were naturally the ones who understood his troubles best. They thought that no one could persuade Winford, but unexpectedly, this new lady managed to do it!

Alfred was also present and had just learned from Graham that he had actually sent Ophelia there. He mocked sarcastically, saying that Ophelia had only been at Sunset Vista for a short time, so how could she possibly persuade Mr. Winford? He suggested it would be better to go to the annex and call Elva over instead.

As a result, reality gave him a harsh slap. Ophelia actually managed to persuade him! Moreover, Mr. Winford actually held her hand downstairs! Mr. Winford hated physical contact with others, especially women; who could be unaware of that? Yet, he actually made an exception for Ophelia!

The two people who walked down the stairs hand in hand were a man with broad shoulders and long legs, possessing an outstanding figure, and a girl who was petite, lively, and charming, making them look remarkably well-matched.

“What are you still doing here? Just go do what you need to do,” Winford said lightly as he pulled his little wife down the last step.

A few people immediately left who should leave, and stayed who should stay.

Before Alfred left, he glanced back and saw Winford applying medicine to Ophelia with his own hands. The lowered brows and eyes revealed a tenderness he had never shown to anyone else.

Alfred gritted his teeth in anger. Elva was harmed by this woman, and now she could only live in the servant’s quarters of the annex. However, she was doing well, charming Mr. Winford and making him treat her like a treasure!

Ophelia’s senses were sharp, and she suddenly looked up. Alfred turned his head and walked away briskly. Ophelia’s eyes narrowed dangerously. Alfred? It was best to be sensible and not provoke her; otherwise, she would not show any mercy!

When Winford changed out of the wheelchair, Ophelia also let go of a concern in her heart, and only then did she have the mind to think about other things. She checked her bank card, and sure enough, not to mention ten million, not even a dime had been transferred in by Gianna!

Actually, Erin called her and asked her to go back for a visit, implying that she had done something wrong and suggesting that she should apologize to Gianna. It was obvious that Gianna not only had no intention of paying back the money, but also went to the Greene family to complain.

With a sneer, Ophelia said, “Alright.”

The Greene family—Hudson, Penelope, and Gianna’s family—were all present. Gianna looked aggrieved, and Bessie was comforting her.

Penelope angrily said, “Ophelia went too far! Gianna is her cousin, what did she do wrong to deserve this? That’s over a million!”

Hudson angrily shouted, “She actually wanted Gianna to give her ten million! Over the years, didn’t she just buy some small trinkets for Gianna? It’s one thing to ask for money back for gifts to her cousin, but what on earth is worth ten million?!”

“Sister, brother-in-law, Ophelia has become more and more outrageous. This time, you must discipline her properly!”

Erin glanced at her husband and sighed helplessly, “I’m not Ophelia’s real mother. It seems that the child has had some issues with me lately, so how could I dare to interfere…”
