Chapter 61

Ophelia had no idea what the servants were thinking. Remembering what had happened upstairs, her cheeks turned a little red. She quietly glanced at the tall, handsome man beside her, then sneaked into the kitchen to rinse her mouth.

As soon as she let out her first breath, her wrist was suddenly grabbed. She turned back in panic and bumped into the manโ€™s hard chest. He tightened his jaw and asked, โ€œWas it very disgusting?โ€

Did you find his kiss disgusting, so you wanted to rinse your mouth?

Ophelia: โ€œโ€ฆIt wasnโ€™t!โ€

He stared at her and asked, โ€œThen why?โ€

She almost cried, pouting with a hint of sorrow, โ€œMy mouth was so bitterโ€ฆโ€

Winford:

Ophelia came out of the kitchen, hesitating, then stopping again, wanting to say something but ultimately unable to hold back. She quietly said, โ€œโ€ฆHow come you are so skilled?โ€

โ€œWhat?โ€ Winford turned around and looked down at her.

โ€œI said, when you kissed meโ€ฆ why were you so skilled at it!โ€ Ophelia said awkwardly and unhappily, โ€œDid you kiss them like that before tooโ€ฆ?โ€

She suddenly thought that before her, Winford had had several wives. So, did he have anything happen with them? The moment she thought that his kissing skills, used on her, were learned from other women, she felt extremely uncomfortable.

Feeling frustrated, her face was suddenly lifted, and the man looked down at her. โ€œWas Lia jealous?โ€

Opheliaโ€™s face flushed, and she pouted angrily, saying defiantly, โ€œI was just jealous, so what?โ€

โ€œNot much.โ€ The man curved his lips slightly, suddenly leaned down and kissed her, whispering, โ€œVery cute.โ€

Opheliaโ€™s ears were burning, and she felt a bit dizzy. She tugged at his sleeve and whispered, โ€œSo, did you actually kiss them or not?โ€

โ€œNone.โ€

โ€œNot at all? Then where did you learn yourโ€ฆ ahem, skills?โ€ Her suspicious little eyes fell on him.

Winford remained unfazed and said, โ€œI hadnโ€™t learned it.โ€

As Graham passed by, his face twisted for a moment. It took him ten years of effort to hold back his laughter and maintain a calm expression. He had not studied, and Mr. Winford, from his family, had a cleanliness obsession, so how could he possibly have touched those women? It was just that the new lady, not knowing, secretly watched a few instructional videos and studied them seriously.

โ€œNever learned?โ€ Opheliaโ€™s beautiful eyes widened slightly, filled with disbelief. However, after a momentโ€™s thought, she realized that her husband would not stoop to lying about such things, and with his high intelligence, what was so surprising about having a natural talent for kissing?

Thinking this way, Ophelia felt a bit proud. Holding her hand and walking outside, Winford seemingly glanced at Graham unintentionally. The pressure of that glance made Graham hurriedly lower his head. The events that happened on that day made Ophelia feel very good.

In the evening, she received good news again. The โ€œC.W.โ€ on the forumโ€”her teacher from a past lifeโ€”sent her a message saying that the specific medicine she wanted had been found! Ophelia was pleasantly surprised.

Since she had taken Winfordโ€™s pulse and discovered that his illness could be treated, she began to prepare the necessary medicine. Many of the precious medicinal materials were not accessible to the average person; only industry insiders had the connections to obtain them. She thought it over and eventually sought help from the teacher.

The teacher had already started giving medication to her son, and the effects were significant. Now, he regarded her as a benefactor and, after listening to her request, agreed without hesitation. Ophelia didnโ€™t expect that the teacher had found a medicine for her so quickly!

Chapter 1

After expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Ophelia left her address to make it convenient for the teacher to send her the medicine. On the other side, the Weaverโ€™s place. Clinton repeatedly looked at the list that Ophelia had given him, which contained the various herbs she needed. The list was not complete, as Ophelia could find some of the herbs herself. However, she did not hide anything from him when he inquired about what other herbs were needed.

โ€œWonderful!โ€ Although he did not know what illness Ophelia wanted to treat, just looking at her bold combination of medications was enough to astonish him!

โ€œYou said you wanted to take in students, didnโ€™t you?โ€ Clintonโ€™s wife, Fiona, walked over and placed a bowl of soup down, her tone gentle. โ€œWhy not try this little girl?โ€ During this time, Ophelia and Clinton often communicated, and Fiona already knew that the person on the other side was a young girl.

Clinton hesitated for a moment, thought about it, and then shook his head and said forget it. He sighed and said, โ€œHer talent amazed even me. She would surely go further than I did in the future. If I were to be her teacher, I would probably hold her back!โ€
