Chapter 234
Jasper had spotted Anastasia at the hospital and followed her impulsively, never expecting to overhear such a conversation. His hands clenched into fists, complex emotions flickering in his eyes. He muttered to himself, “No, that’s impossible! How could you stop loving me so fast? You’re just lying to yourself!”
After Anastasia helped Mrs. Dalton check into the hotel, she went downstairs to wait for a ride. Suddenly, a figure came running toward her. She instinctively stepped back, but the person was moving fast, charging at her like a bull and grabbing her shoulders.
Anastasia struggled hard. “Jasper, are you out of your fucking mind?!”
Not only did Jasper not let go, he pulled her into a tighter embrace.
“Ana, let’s get back together. I miss you—I’m going crazy missing you!” Jasper said desperately.
Anastasia fought against his grip, shouting, “Jasper, we’re over! We ended a long time ago!”
“No, we’re not over! Everything you’re doing is just to make me jealous. You’re still angry, which proves you still love me, right?”
Anastasia was speechless with disgust. She yelled, “Get the hell away from me!”
Hearing Jasper’s words made her feel like someone was force-feeding her dog shit.
“Jasper, do I need to remind you? We ended the moment you cheated with Valeria. And she’s having your baby!”
Jasper couldn’t hear anything else except the word “baby.”
“Ana, I don’t love her at all. I’ve always loved only you! She’s like… like playing basketball, or soccer, or golf—just a way to blow off steam. But it’s just for fun! I always come back to you!”
“Why can’t you just be patient? After Valeria has the baby, I’ll keep the child and get rid of her. I’ll tell everyone you’re the mother! We’ll be a family of three, together forever.”
Anastasia had seen shameless people before, but never anyone this shameless. So women were just like basketball or soccer to him? Just games to play? Using sports analogies for women was disgusting and showed zero respect! How had she been so blind to fall for this piece of trash?
“Jasper, your love is worthless. You only love yourself—everyone else is just your accessory. You don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone, then you come crying with regret. Well, there’s no such thing as a do-over pill!”
She paused, then added, “And I have zero interest in raising someone else’s kid.”
“No, Ana, listen to me. I only love you, I really only love you. If you don’t want that baby, we’ll have our own! Just one of our own!”
Jasper glanced around and spotted the hotel entrance, immediately trying to drag Anastasia toward it.
A black custom Maybach drove past, and the driver muttered, “Damn, getting frisky in broad daylight?”
“Wait, something’s not right…”
