Judy stepped out of Kenneth’s arms and took two slow steps forward, meeting the stares from the crowd head-on. “I’ve done nothing wrong. The one truly in the wrong here is a parasite like you.”

Her voice rang out clearly. “And I agree with what they said. Someone like you should be behind bars.”

Brian wasn’t having it. His eyes looked crazed, like he’d snapped.

“No! I don’t accept this!” He pointed a finger at Judy’s face and shouted, “You’re the one who seduced me, you bitch! Stop trying to twist the story!

“If you hadn’t tempted me, I wouldn’t have made this mistake!”

At that, someone nearby let out a snort of laughter. Clearly, they were amused by how ridiculous that statement was. No one believed a word Brian said. Judy had money, looks, and status. A woman like her could have any man she wanted. Why would she stoop so low as to seduce a random office worker? Besides, Brian wasn’t anything special–just an average guy with a plain face.
