It was the first time Lucy had seen Aurora like this. Feeling a bit intimidated, she nodded. “Yeah, he looked like he was in a hurry to leave. Probably something urgent happened at home. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be in such a rush to resign.”

She knew perfectly well why Hank resigned.

The reason Aurora came to her mother today instead of confronting Tessa directly was because she had hoped Grace would give her a fair and just answer.

Aurora let out a cold laugh. “Since you won’t bring Hank Smith back, and you don’t believe what I’ve said, then I’ll handle it myself.”

“Aurora, what are you planning to do?”

“This is my business,” Aurora replied coldly.
