Grace added once more, "But if your health gives you any trouble, you must tell me right away. Don’t ever push yourself alone. You need to know, in my heart you matter more than any project."
Listening to these empty words, Tessa’s smile never wavered. Grace value family more than profits? Impossible. Her comforting lines were nothing but nonsense.

"Mom, I know you care for me, but I need to grow up. I can’t hide under your wings forever," Tessa promised solemnly. "If you really can’t trust me yet, then let me start at the bottom. As long as you’re willing to give me the chance, that’s enough."
