At that, Lucas shot her a sharp look.
Megan rubbed her nose sheepishly and held her tongue. Fine, whatever—if her cousin was happy, that was all that mattered. Their romance had nothing to do with her. She was just the side character here and should focus on doing her part.
Ian, meanwhile, stood with his usual good-natured grin. For the first time, the moment felt real to him. When he’d worked for others, he never felt much of anything–just routine tasks with little reward. But standing here beside Aurora, he finally understood that work could feel light and meaningful. It didn’t feel like he was just laboring for someone else’s gain but striving toward his own future. Most of all, he no longer had to worry about people hiding knowledge from him. Here, he could truly learn under Aurora’s guidance, unlike elsewhere, where even after paying tuition, all he picked up was office politics and hollow flattery. That was why Ian cherished the chance to follow Aurora now because it was rare and valuable.
Meanwhile, Aurora handled the reporters‘ questions with ease. “My original intent in starting this studio was simply to pursue my dream. From the very beginning, I wanted to become an architectural designer–someone who could create homes, complete projects, and bring ideas into reality.
“Of course, that sounds a bit like a template answer. Back then, I had many big ideas. But now, my only goal is to be a designer who gets to work on grand, inspiring buildings.
“As for benefiting humanity—that’s something I’ll leave for later.”
Aurora’s answer came across witty and engaging, never dull. Her pacing was clear and precise, every word articulated with ease. At first, most of the cameras had been angled toward Lucas, but as soon as they saw Aurora’s composure, one by one they shifted, capturing her instead. Standing beside him, she didn’t fade into the background at all. In fact, their looks only complemented each other, making them both shine even more. When the reporters heard her share her motivation, they couldn’t help smiling, agreeing that her vision was admirable.
“Thank you, Miss Walton. I do have one more question–how do you plan to grow the studio moving forward? After all, competition in this industry is quite fierce.”
Hearing that, Aurora finally felt fully at ease. This journalist might not have been invited by her, but the questions were thoughtful and truly relevant to the studio’s future. With nothing left to worry about, she let her natural smile linger in her eyes, a moment so radiant it left the Joy Entertainment reporter momentarily stunned.
“As for the future, first, we’ll certainly need the guidance and support of the established leaders in architectural design.
“Beyond that, I plan to take my partners out to chase more projects, building our skills step by step.
“My ultimate goal is still to grow into a true architectural designer. And if there are others who share a love for this field, I’d welcome them to contribute ideas and work with us.”
