Tolerating her once or twice was fine, but it just became annoying after having to do it too many times. He had his own life, too. There was no reason to waste all his time on her. No need at all.

After breakfast, Aurora headed to work at Walton Corporation. This time, she drove herself. As usual, the receptionist greeted her politely.

“By the way, Miss Walton, I saw Mr. Knight waiting in the reception room.”

Aurora nodded. “Got it.”

She was a little surprised. The design draft was supposed to take three days—it had only been two. Leonard was already here? That thought stirred a bit of excitement in her. When she entered the lounge, sure enough, Leonard and Nora were already there.

Hearing the sound of heels, Nora tensed at first. But once she saw Aurora, her expression clearly relaxed. Leonard’s smile widened slowly as he looked at Aurora.

“Sorry for bothering you so early,” he said.

Aurora smiled and countered, “You’re being too polite. Besides, this is my working hour anyway.”

Leonard considered it. “Fair point.”

Aurora bent slightly and looked at Nora, gently ruffling her hair. This time, Nora didn’t shy away. “What a cute little princess–wearing a dress today too. But…” She glanced at Nora’s messy hair, and the smile in her eyes grew deeper.

Leonard let out an awkward cough–he knew exactly what she meant. “There was no one else at home this morning. I did her hair myself, but I’m not very good at it, so…”

“It’s adorable,” Aurora said with a warm smile. “You’re a great big brother, and Nora knows how much you care.”

Though Nora didn’t say a word, her little hand clung tightly to Leonard’s leg, clearly relying on him.

Seeing that, Aurora’s smile deepened. “How about you let me redo her hair?” she offered.

Leonard scratched his nose awkwardly. Truth was, even he couldn’t bear to look at the mess he’d made, but his little sister hadn’t complained, so he had no choice but to take her out like that.

Aurora nodded with a smile and, with just a few quick, skillful movements, gave Nora a brand-new hairstyle. The change was immediate; she looked much neater, more reliable. Gone was the lopsided ponytail with loose strands sticking out everywhere. Leonard couldn’t stop praising her.

Aurora grinned. “Alright, stop teasing me. Have you finished revising the design draft?”

“Yeah.” Leonard took the file out of his bag. “Take a look. Here’s what I came up with.”

Aurora raised a brow. “You’re pretty fast.”

“Don’t worry, I can guarantee both speed and quality.”

She opened the file and was quickly taken aback by Leonard’s design concepts. The more she flipped through it, the more impressed she became.

“You turned those rough paths in the hot spring park into real slides–how did you even come up with that?” Aurora couldn’t help but exclaim, “This is brilliant!”

Leonard gently ran his fingers through Nora’s neatly styled hair, his gaze falling softly on her. “Ever since Nora’s accident, I’ve been paying extra attention to how we live.”

He gave her hair a light pat. “No matter what happens, people still have to live. Since hot springs are meant for enjoyment, why not include the kids too? Let them relax and have fun as well.”
