Chapter 303
She even used the same ruthless tactics she applied in the business world, showing no mercy at all. Julianโs eyes widened as he stared at Auroraโs phone. โAurora Walton, you bitch! Youโre completely shameless. That was low!โ He hadnโt expected her to record him this time, too. Why was it that every time, he got caught off guard like this? Heโd experienced such tricks before, but going through it again still left a bitter taste. Aurora raised an eyebrow. โIsnโt deception a part of strategy? And honestly, to deal with someone like you, do I really need to play fair?โ
Her gaze was full of disdain as she looked Julian over from head to toe. She couldnโt believe this man could shout such things in front of Tessa, and in front of so many people no less. Wasnโt he the one who always cared about his pride? Did it not matter to him anymore? Julian clenched his fists. โAre you looking to die?โ
He was just about to take a step forward when Tessa suddenly called out, โThatโs enough!โ Both Aurora and Julian turned to look at her. Tessaโs expression was ugly. โThere are so many people watching. Donโt you feel embarrassed?โ With that, she grabbed Rachel and walked away.
The Day Light Restaurant was indeed full of people watching the scene. She didnโt want to be tomorrowโs headline. Aurora thought the same. She gave Julian one last scornful glance and turned to leave. If there was going to be a headline tomorrow, she certainly didnโt want to be in it with him. Just thinking about it made her feel sick.
Julian glanced around as everyone left. He couldnโt bring himself to stay there any longer. The curious stares from all directions made him feel thoroughly embarrassed, a wave of shame and anger flooding his chest. He quickly strode out of Day Light Restaurant.
Once the main players had exited, the rest of the onlookers began to trickle out as well. There was no point in hanging around anymore. โDidnโt expect rich folks to be this dramatic,โ someone said. โSeriously, a real-life scandal between a future brother-in-law? Wild.โ โYou have to admit, getting caught red-handed is the nightmare of a dining hall. Thatโs not something you see every day.โ โJust proves that life in high society is far more chaotic than ours.โ
As they exchanged comments, eyes followed Julianโs retreating figure with open mockery, and the sneers in their gazes were impossible to miss. Among the group stepping out, the most furious was Tessa. How dare Aurora act like that? She and Julian were still engaged, and yet she had the audacity to behave like that in public, tugging and pulling at him right there in front of everyone.
Tessa clenched her fists, seething inside as she started planning how sheโd report this to her mother later. After all, she had seen it with her own eyes, and there were plenty of witnesses. If she didnโt speak up, her conscience wouldnโt let her rest. Besides, wasnโt Rachel there too?
With so many people around, even if Aurora wanted to deny it, there was no way she could get away with it now. Rachel was just as upset. She couldnโt believe sheโd let Aurora intimidate her again. She couldโve fought back, but whenever she faced her, she couldnโt help but feel a twinge of fear.
