Chapter 338

Aurora smiled, lifting a hand to tuck her hair behind her ear. โ€œYou donโ€™t need to worry about that. I can settle things with John.โ€

She tilted her chin slightly, her voice full of confidence. โ€œHeโ€™s already planning to burn the bridge after crossing it. Why should I keep cooperating with him?

โ€œBesides, now that Iโ€™ve got you, Mr. Lowe, as long as you donโ€™t betray me, I believe weโ€™ll have a great partnership for years to come.โ€

Anyone with half a brain could hear the message behind her words loud and clear.

Aurora pulled out the contract sheโ€™d brought with her and handed it to Randy. โ€œMr. Lowe, this is the draft my team prepared. If you donโ€™t see any issues, we can go ahead and sign it.โ€

Randy gave his assistant a look.

The assistant, understanding the cue, took the document and started flipping through it carefully.

After reviewing it, he nodded at Randy with an approving look, signaling that everything checked out.

Aurora straightened her posture slightly.

She knew John raising his price meant he thought she wouldnโ€™t dare walk away from this project. But if that was his game, why should she stick to a single option?

Especially when that option might turn out to be a crooked tree anyway.

The more she thought about it, the more pleased she became. Her smile grew wider as she looked at Randy.

Yes, the one in front of her was clearly the better choice. She never shouldโ€™ve hesitated.

Randy gave her a final reminder. โ€œMiss Walton, you and I both know how to play this game. If weโ€™re working together, youโ€™ll need to make a clean break with John.

โ€œAnd Iโ€™d suggest you make it public โ€“ let people know weโ€™ve formed a new partnership and that Walton Corporation is about to reach new heights.โ€

Aurora nodded slightly. โ€œNo problem.

โ€œMr. Lowe, I understand exactly what you mean, and you can count on me. Iโ€™ll take care of all of it.โ€

Hearing her say that, Randyโ€™s mood visibly lifted.

He picked up the document and signed his name without hesitation.

Then he extended his hand to her. โ€œIn that case, hereโ€™s to a successful partnership.โ€

โ€œPleasure doing business!โ€ Aurora smiled and extended her hand in return.

The moment their hands met under the light, it felt like the perfect alliance โ€“ two strong forces joining together.

There was no doubt she had made the right call.

If John wanted to play dirty, he couldnโ€™t blame her for being ruthless in return.

Aurora had a keen assistant snap a photo of the handshake and immediately uploaded it online, accompanied by a newly crafted press release: to announce Walton Corporationโ€™s new partnership with LC Group.

Randy saw the news online and couldnโ€™t help but be impressed by how fast Aurora moved.

He turned to her with newfound appreciation in his eyes. โ€œWith a partner like you, things will be a whole lot easier for me.โ€

Aurora smiled in response. โ€œIโ€™m glad weโ€™re working together too. Letโ€™s just say, it was meant to be.โ€

โ€œIndeed, it was.โ€

They raised their glasses and downed the toast.

News of their collaboration quickly stirred up a storm online.

Randy, watching the buzz, couldnโ€™t help but feel lucky. Aurora really was a treasure.

He wondered to himself โ€“ would John regret it? What kind of expression would he be wearing now?

The thought made Randy genuinely curious.

With a loud crash, John swept everything off his desk, sending it all crashing to the floor. His neck and face were bulging with veins, his rage barely contained.
