Chapter 526
โYou two know each other?โ
Wendy looked at Judy in surprise. What were the odds? On their way to apologize to Aurora, they just happened to run into someone familiar. Judy narrowed her eyes, glancing between Kenneth and Wendy. โIs this your brother?โ
Kenneth was just as confused. โWendy, is she your friend? When did you two meet?โ
It was baffling enough that Wendy would know someone like herโsomeone who refused money and just kept going in circles, wasting everyoneโs time. Judy ignored Kennethโs comment. After all, the way she met Wendy wasnโt exactly something to be proud of.
It was through Aurora. The two of them had clashed at first but somehow ended up as allies. With a common enemy, they could be considered half-friends. Still, it was an odd connection to explain. So, in front of Kenneth, Judy chose not to say much. It wouldโve sounded too strange.
She cleared her throat, not as confrontational as before. โWhere are you two heading in such a rush?โ
After all, heโd just scratched her car. No normal driver would do something like that. It had to be because Kenneth was in too much of a hurry to notice.
Wendy, recalling the connection between Judy and Aurora, felt a spark of excitement. Rightโsheโd been so wrapped up lately, so focused on Lucas, that sheโd completely forgotten about Judy. And now, wasnโt Judy the perfect person to help her?
With that thought, Wendy walked over to her. She glanced at the scratch on the car. It wasnโt a big dealโjust a minor issue that could be fixed with a bit of money. There was no need to make a fuss about it.
โAlright, itโs a small matter. Thereโs no need to be so worked up.โ
Judy frowned as she looked at Wendy. Something about her felt off. โIf you have something to say, just say it from there. Why are you walking up to me?โ
Wendyโs smile turned a little awkward, and she finally explained, โI just wanted to talk to you about something else.โ
โDonโt worry, it has nothing to do with the car. I want to talk about Aurora.โ
Judy froze at the mention of her name.
Chapter 527
โAurora?โ She furrowed her brows. โI havenโt heard that name in a while. What about her?โ
โDonโt you want to know why you havenโt heard anything?โ Wendy asked with a smile.
Judy was puzzled by that. โIโve just been busy with my own life. Why should I be in contact with her every day?โ
Wendyโs expression stiffened slightly, but she continued, โActually, sheโs been hospitalized recently. Thatโs why she hasnโt appeared in public. And itโs been a while since there was any news. No one even knows if sheโs awake yet.โ
Judyโs eyes lit up at that. No wonder. Sheโd been wondering why Aurora had been so quiet latelyโso she was sick? And from the way Wendy said it, it sounded like she might still be unconscious? Wasnโt that great news for her?
โWhere did you hear that from? Are you sure itโs true?โ
Wendy huffed in annoyance. โOf course itโs true. I was at the hospital myself. I saw Aurora with my own eyes, thatโs why I said it.
