Listen to this chapter:

And then, when young Aurora was wrongly accused, Tessa's face lit up with a satisfied smile.

Aurora felt a wave of darkness wash over her. She was Tessa's biological sister. How could she treat her like this? Was the hatred really that deep? As children, they hadn't gone through any major conflict. Nothing unforgivable had ever happened between them. Aurora truly couldn't understand where Tessa's deep resentment came from. What had caused it?

With that thought, Aurora stood up. She had to get to the bottom of this. She followed young Tessa and soon discovered something even more disturbingโ€“Tessa had ties with some of the teachers. Little Aurora had always kept a low profile at school, and during parent-teacher conferences, Grace would always prioritize visiting Tessa's class first. This had led the teachers to assume that Tessa was the only real heiress. As a result, they had little patience or attention left for Aurora. Aurora continued trailing behind Tessa, watching as she smirked dismissively and returned to her own classroom. Something about it didn't sit right. Tessa was only ten years oldโ€“how could she remain so calm in a situation like this? It felt calculated, as if she had planned it all. Aurora couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Was this really the intelligence level of a ten-year-old? Or rather, could she have pulled all this off on her own? There had to be someone guiding her behind the scenes. Aurora didn't even need to question it. With the way Tessa's mind worked, there was no way she could have orchestrated all this by herself. Aurora simply couldn't understand it.

But later, she would come to realize just how wrong she had been. Tessa and Emma had been close friends from the start. That evening after school, Aurora walked the road home alone, looking completely dazed. Her parent had been summoned, but when Grace found out it was over this incident, she immediately refused to come. She had no intention of showing up at the school. In the end, it was Arnold who came instead. Young Aurora, with her small frame and heavy backpack, followed silently behind him. She knew she had embarrassed her mother this time. That was why Grace didn't want to come. She also knew she hadn't stolen anything, but she couldn't understand how the security cameras had failed at just the right moment. Back then, she had truly been left speechless. She would never forget the way her classmates looked at her.

Aurora didn't follow young Aurora and Arnold. Instead, she continued trailing behind Tessa. She needed to know what was going on with her. Something in her gut told her that Tessa was still hiding something. And how could that whole setup with the watch have been just a coincidence? How did she know Emma would have such an expensive watch, and how did she know the cameras would be down at that exact time? Especially considering that back then, Tessa wasn't even in the same class as her. That part had always felt off. Sure enough, Aurora saw that after school, Tessa didn't go straight home. Seeing that only deepened Aurora's suspicion. Clearly, Tessa wasn't as simple as she looked. She was already scheming like this at such a young age. It wasn't normal at all.
