Chapter 672

To go through something like that and still try to comfort her, how could Aurora not feel heartbroken for Megan?

The three thugs, realizing things were going south, began scrambling to gather their things and run.

Young Aurora caught it immediately and pointed straight at them. โ€œGrab all three of them. Take them to the police. Donโ€™t let a single one escape!โ€

โ€œYes, Miss Walton!โ€

In the next second, a team of well-trained bodyguards moved out.

Soon after, Megan, completely drained, collapsed right into Auroraโ€™s arms.

Standing nearby, the older Aurora looked at the two girls huddled together and felt an ache deep in her chest.

She would never forget the moment she saw Megan like that.

It felt like her whole world had come crashing down.

Megan hadnโ€™t done anything to deserve this. So why did the world treat her this way?

She was so kind and gentle.

Those three monsters deserved nothing but death.

With that thought, young Aurora held Megan tightly. โ€œDonโ€™t worry, I wonโ€™t let you suffer like this for nothing!โ€

Afterward, she ordered the bodyguards to take Megan to the hospital, while she followed another group to the police station.

While Megan was being taken to the hospital, Aurora also had someone notify the Quinns.

She was their child.

After something like this, they had every right to know.

Besides, everything had happened so fast, it almost felt unreal.

Even she wasnโ€™t sure anymore what was real or not.

The Quinns hesitated. โ€œMiss Walton, are you sure you want to come with us to the station?โ€

โ€œOf course. Iโ€™m a witness too.โ€

She spat out those last words with gritted teeth.

She truly hadnโ€™t expected that something like this could still happen in this day and age.

She was going to make sure those three scumbags got exactly what they deserved.

Looking at her younger self, Aurora finally felt a strange sense of peace.

Thankfully, she hadnโ€™t backed down back then.

She had stayed by Meganโ€™s side.

If she hadnโ€™t, the trauma Megan carried might have taken much longer to fade, or worse, never faded at all.

As the bodyguards were escorting Megan to the hospital, Aurora was about to leave when her eyes fell on the kittenโ€™s body lying on the ground. Her heart skipped a beat.

She froze for a moment, then said, โ€œFind a place to bury this little cat. Make sure to take pictures and send them to me.โ€

The bodyguards exchanged puzzled glances, not understanding why sheโ€™d make such a request.

But theyโ€™d been told to follow Auroraโ€™s orders without question.

They lowered their heads and carried out her instructions without hesitation.

โ€œYes, Miss Walton. Weโ€™ll take care of it right away.โ€

Aurora gave a slight nod and followed the police car.

Standing to the side, the older Aurora watched the vehicle pull away, then stepped into it as well.

She sat silently, her gaze fixed on her younger self.

Did she really tell someone to bury the kitten back then?

Why couldnโ€™t she remember?

But no matter how hard she stared, the girl didnโ€™t react.

She just sat there, serious and focused on the road ahead.

Aurora didnโ€™t feel disappointed though.

She already knew that the people here couldnโ€™t see her.

Still, the question nagged at her the entire ride.

Had she truly asked someone to bury that little cat when she was a child?

Why did she have no memory of it?

Suddenly, her younger selfโ€™s phone chimed with a notification.

The bodyguards had finished burying the kitten.
