Listen to this chapter:

Julian strode over to Tessaโ€™s side, his face full of concern. โ€œTessa, are you okay?โ€

โ€œYouโ€™ve always been frail. Donโ€™t cry anymore, alright? Seeing you like this makes me feel awful too.โ€ He reassured her again and again.

โ€œDonโ€™t worry. Thereโ€™s nothing between Aurora and me. I only see her as a sister because of you.โ€

Grace stood on Tessaโ€™s other side, equally focused on her daughterโ€™s health.

In contrast, Aurora was painted as nothing more than a spiteful villain in this scene.

At that moment, something clicked in Auroraโ€™s mind.

She had thought that staying out of their drama would be enough.

But clearly, these people had a talent for being insufferable, one after another throwing themselves in her way.

โ€œAlright, Julian,โ€ Aurora curled her lips in a mocking smile and nodded.

โ€œYou really know how to talk. Even now, you still wonโ€™t admit it.โ€

โ€œWhat exactly do you want me to admit? Canโ€™t you see how upset Tessa is? How can you still be so unreasonable?โ€

Hearing this, Grace gave Aurora a disapproving look.

Compared to Tessaโ€™s frail and pitiful appearance, Aurora indeed seemed reckless and unreasonable.

โ€œEnough. What more is there to say at this point?โ€

Right now, Grace just wanted to put an end to this mess.

But Aurora calmly pulled out her phone, her smile composed and confident. โ€œMom, what do you think I have to say? Obviously, Iโ€™m going to show you what the so-called truth really is.โ€

The moment she said this, Julian visibly panicked.

His eyes locked onto the phone in her hand, his anxiety clear.

Aurora noticed his reaction instantly, catching the unease in his expression.

She took her time, speaking slowly and deliberately. โ€œThatโ€™s right. Itโ€™s exactly what you think it is.โ€

โ€œAurora, do you really have to make such a scene?โ€

A cold glint flashed in her eyes. โ€œIsnโ€™t this exactly what you wanted? You forced me into this. I gave you a chance, my dear brother-in-law.โ€

Tessa looked at Julian in confusion.

It was just a phone โ€“ why was he so flustered?

Her gaze wavered.

Was Julian lying just now?

Even Grace picked up on Julianโ€™s unnatural reaction.

At that moment, all eyes were fixed on Auroraโ€™s phone.

She raised an eyebrow before tapping the screen without hesitation.

Julianโ€™s slightly drunken voice rang out from the recording.

โ€œGive me a chanceโ€ฆ As long as youโ€™re willingโ€ฆโ€

โ€œHonestly, I really like youโ€ฆโ€

โ€œI mean itโ€ฆโ€

His voice was unmistakably clear, as were Auroraโ€™s repeated rejections.

Even through the phone, it was easy to imagine just how firm and unwavering her refusals had been.

Julianโ€™s hands clenched into fists, his face turning pale before flushing red with fury.

He never expected this wretched woman to record their conversation.

But how had he not noticed at all?

Graceโ€™s expression wavered, realization dawning on her.

She had truly misjudged Aurora.

A wave of shame swept over her.

She stepped toward Aurora, guilt in her voice. โ€œAurora, Iโ€ฆโ€

Aurora, however, ignored her completely and turned to Julian instead.

โ€œWell, my dear brother-in-law, are you going to deny that these words came from your own mouth?โ€
