Chapter 92
Aurora remained silent, resting her right hand against her chin as she lazily observed Linda. Every now and then, she lifted her gaze, exuding the air of a relaxed Persian catโelegant yet indifferent.
Linda carefully studied Auroraโs expression. Seeing her so calm and composed, she couldnโt help but clench her fists.
โFine, Aurora Walton, enjoy your arrogance while you can. In a moment, you wonโt be able to say a word. Letโs see what you amount to once this proposal is mine in front of the manager,โ Linda thought.
With an air of confidence, Linda strode onto the stage, her chin lifted high.
Aurora found it utterly amusing.
As soon as Linda plugged her USB drive into the computer and projected the proposal onto the screen, a glint of realization flashed in Auroraโs eyes. Just as expected. So, Linda really did steal her proposal. Aurora showed no obvious reactionโshe merely raised an eyebrow, a faint, unreadable smile playing at her lips. It was as if she hadnโt even noticed Lindaโs provocative gaze.
Linda gritted her teeth and thought, โLetโs see if you can keep smiling after this.โ
Clearing her throat, she began confidently, โThis proposal is the result of my hard work over the past few days. I believe the Vanguard Groupโs luxury hot spring project can collaborate with a high-end brand, or better yet, bring in a celebrity ambassador and organize a reality show to promote the resort.โ
With that, she flipped to the next slide, walking the room through the projectโs details step by step.
The entire room fell silent. Everyone held their breath, carefully analyzing the content of the presentation.
And when they finished reading, a collective gasp echoed through the room. The idea was undeniably well-structured, almost too well-structured.
Even the project manager couldnโt help but marvel, โThisโฆ Linda, are you sure you developed this proposal yourself?โ
Lindaโs expression darkened. โMr. Gardener, what do you mean by that? I created this PowerPoint, and Iโm the one presenting it. If itโs not mine, then whose could it be?โ
The project manager stared at her, puzzled. Something about this proposal felt incredibly familiarโhe was certain he had seen it before. Yet, for some reason, he couldnโt quite place it. But at the end of the day, it was Linda who had brought the proposal to the table.
Everyone exchanged glances before eventually applauding.
โWell, Lindaโs proposal is quite impressive this time.โ
โIndeed. Itโs surprisingly well-structured and fits the projectโs theme perfectly.โ
โWe may have underestimated herโshe might actually have potential.โ
The meeting room wasnโt large, and every word of praise from the leadership landed directly in Lindaโs ears. A sense of pride swelled in her chest. This is how it should be. She was no less capable than Auroraโso why should Aurora be the one basking in the spotlight? Now, she had proven that she didnโt need Chuck to rise in the company. She could do it all on her own. Unlike that bitch Aurora, who still relied on men to climb the ranks. And the project manager? Of course, heโd try to side with that bitch.
Just as expected, the manager turned to Aurora. โAurora, do you have any additional insights to share?โ
Lindaโs smirk deepened, her eyes flashing a calculating expression.
She couldnโt help but sneer, โMr. Gardener, the executives have already approved my proposal. Shouldnโt we just move forward with it? Why bother asking for other opinions?โ
With that, she rolled her eyes at Aurora openly and without restraint.
Lucy was fuming. So, what if she presented a proposal? Did that mean no one else deserved a chance? This woman was way out of line!
