Chapter 158
Sophia thought, If it's discovered we conspired to push Yvonne into the sea, it's murder, and we'll go to jail. "How can I spend the rest of my life in prison?" Sophia didn't want to go to jail, especially now that she was pregnant. She flew into a rage. "You bastard! What are you talking about? Yvonne is our daughter! We love her dearly. How could we possibly push her into the sea? This is infuriating! I might as well go with Yvonne!"
Sobbing, Sophia rushed to the railing, attempting to jump. Joanna and Yosef quickly restrained her. Joanna pleaded, "Mom! What are you doing? Yvonne wouldn't want to see you like this!" Yosef exclaimed, "You're still pregnant. You can't jump! I've already lost one daughter. I can't lose my wife and son!" Their family was in turmoil.
Jamie wanted to question them, but the scene silenced him. He could only grit his teeth, turn, and slam his fist against the railing, a jarring sound venting his frustration. Then, he saw a dark figure flip over the railing and jump.
Jamie gasped, momentarily breathless. "Dylan, are you crazy?" he yelled. He doubted anyone could survive such a fall. The others were stunned. No one expected another suicide attempt. Though the cruise ship wasn't moving fast, it still drifted several yards per second. By the time they reacted, the ship had moved, making Yvonne's recovery near impossible. They believed Dylan had committed suicide.
Then, Hayden arrived, having searched for Yvonne unsuccessfully and found her phone switched off. He'd assumed she was sulking, but then received Richard's message about her jump. His hands trembled; his phone fell to the ground. He rushed to the rooftop.

Chapter 158
He saw a man seemingly jumping. "What's going on? Where is Yvonne?" Hayden rushed over frantically. Nevin, panting, caught up, holding Hayden's phone. "Why... why are you running? You don't even want your phone?"
He sensed the gravity of the situation. "What... what happened?" he stammered. Hayden's urgency indicated something serious. Richard finally spoke, "Mr. Parker, Mrs... Mrs. Parker jumped into the sea! And then Dylan followed her..."
Hayden's pupils constricted. He leaned over the railing, looking down. From the seventh floor, plus the ship's height, the bottom was nearly invisible. He thought, How could Yvonne jump from here? Was she crazy?
Hayden recovered, his voice trembling. "She wouldn't jump." Joanna approached, reaching for his hand. With Yvonne gone, she saw an opportunity with Hayden. Before her hand touched him, he grabbed her neck. She gasped for air, a chilling aura enveloping her. She'd never seen him so ruthless, so murderous.
"You did this?" Hayden's icy voice hissed. Joanna's mind raced, but her survival instinct made her deny it. "No... It wasn't me..." Her face turned blue and purple.
Sophia rushed over, grabbing Hayden's arm. "What are you doing? Let her go! It's none of our business that Yvonne jumped into the sea!" Richard urged, "Mr. Parker, the priority is searching for Mrs. Parker!" He knew Hayden well; asking him to release Joanna was futile. He hoped focusing on the search would help.
Hayden released Joanna. He'd determine Joanna's culpability later; first, he needed to find Yvonne.
Chapter 155
A shred of guilt lingered in Yosef's heart. "Let's go," Sophia urged, pulling him away.
Meanwhile, Lucy, helping Yvonne in the kitchen on the first floor below ground level, was looking at the menu. Yvonne had explained that after the divorce she needed to rely on herself, and only money could provide confidence. When Yasir told her the news, her menu slipped from her hand, the sharp sound jolting her.
She stared at him, disbelieving. "What... what did you say? Who jumped into the sea?"
"It's Yvonne," Yasir repeated, grief etched on his face.
"Is this a joke?" Lucy asked, her voice trembling despite her attempt at calm. "If you have nothing to do, go wash the dishes! I don't have time for your jokes!"
Yasir knew she wouldn't believe him. He stepped forward, placing his hands on her shoulders. "The Jackson family said she committed suicide, jumping from the top floor. The rescue team's gone down, but... little hope... You should go and see..."
