Tara's skeptical gaze caused Mikel's expression to sour. He couldn't comprehend how Cameron had accurately identified his conditions.

When Mikel didn't respond promptly, Tara lost patience. Her voice turned cold. "Alright, Mr. Kennedy. Dylan Smith is my grandfather. As a doctor at this hospital, I'll take responsibility for his condition. Cameron, please proceed with your diagnosis."

Her gaze softened as she looked at Cameron. As Cameron had pointed out, her grandfather's illness was a concern for her, unlike for an outsider like Mikel. Witnessing Cameron's assessment of Mikel deepened her trust.

"Okay," Cameron agreed, moving toward the bedside. The sight of the frail, elderly man, laden with tubes, made him frown. He felt such aggressive treatment might be too much for someone his age. He wondered about Mikel's true intentions.

Without voicing his thoughts, Cameron gently placed his hand on the old man's wrist to feel his pulse, channeling his inner energy for a thorough examination. The deeper he delved, the more pronounced his frown became—a change not lost on Tara, who grew increasingly concerned.

Mikel observed Cameron's earnest demeanor and scoffed. "Are you done with your diagnosis? Did you find anything?" He regarded traditional medicine as mere superstition, doubting Cameron's knowledge and accusing him of pretense.

"Mr. Kennedy, shouldn't a doctor maintain silence during a diagnosis?" Cameron retorted, unamused.

Mikel bristled. "I was merely showing respect. You think you're a doctor? I'm curious to see what you'll find."

Frustrated by Mikel's interruptions, Tara sharply said, "Mr. Kennedy, please be quiet and don't disturb Cameron!"

Taken aback by her rebuke, Mikel fell silent, his eyes filled with resentment toward Cameron. He blamed Cameron for undermining him in Tara's eyes and awaited his chance for retribution.

After a moment, Cameron withdrew his hand and exhaled deeply.

"How is my grandfather?" Tara asked anxiously.

"Your grandfather's condition appears somewhat hopeful, but" Cameron began, pausing as he noted Tara's worried look and Mikel's antagonistic gaze.

"But what?" Tara urged anxiously.

"It's unlikely he has liver cancer," Cameron revealed.

Tara gasped. Mikel erupted, shouting, "Outrageous! Sheer nonsense!" He seized the opportunity, ordering, "Get this charlatan out of here!"

"Wait, Mr. Kennedy! Let Cameron finish," Tara intervened.

"Do you actually believe this nonsense, Doctor Smith?" Mikel challenged, his tone darkening. He made her feel that believing Cameron meant questioning his authority. He had manipulated the medical devices, but remained confident in his diagnosis.

Ignoring Mikel, Tara focused on Cameron. "If it's not liver cancer, what is it?"

"Liver toxicity leading to cirrhosis and nodular hyperplasia," Cameron stated clearly.
