Chapter 27
“Dear, please stop blaming yourself. I believe in you, and I’m sure you’ll overcome this soon.”
Madison, completely deceived by Archie’s act, continued to encourage him.
“Thank you, Madison. It’s wonderful to have you by my side,” Archie said, continuing his emotional performance.
“You’re so sweet,” Madison replied shyly. “But that bastard Cameron stole your project! We can’t let him get away with it!” she added, gritting her teeth.
“Of course!”
Archie’s gaze turned cold. Cameron had not only embarrassed him at the wedding but had also stolen his project. Revenge was necessary! Lord Blackheart would be leaving Yrando in two days.
“Dear, what’s your plan?” Madison asked.
“I’m going to ask Lord Caspian for help!” Archie declared fiercely. He wanted to make Cameron’s life miserable.
“Lord Caspian? From the Black Tiger Gang?”
Madison was shocked. The Black Tiger Gang was Yrando’s largest underground force, and Lord Caspian was its leader. His power was even greater due to Timothy’s backing; Timothy was a highly influential figure who controlled the capital’s underworld and wielded considerable influence.
“That’s right,” Archie said. “Considering my relationship with Lord Caspian, dealing with Cameron will be easy.”
“Dear, you’re amazing!” Madison admired him, but then a problem occurred to her. “But wouldn’t it be too obvious to have Lord Caspian deal with him directly? And if Dakota’s there, she might feel guilty and get back together with him.”
Madison understood Dakota well. While she had used cunning methods to save the Jennings family, she worried that if Dakota saw Cameron suffer because of her, she would feel guilty and reconcile with him. Cameron would then benefit from the situation! Madison would never allow that despicable villain to succeed.
“So, do you have a better idea?” Archie asked.
“Of course, dear.”
A sinister smile touched Madison’s lips. Leaning close, she whispered in Archie’s ear, “It’s my birthday in a few days. I’ll invite Dakota to celebrate, and then you can ask Lord Caspian to…”
“That’s brilliant!” Archie’s eyes narrowed, a cold glint flashing within them.
“My dear, it’s settled then!” Madison said, already imagining Cameron’s fate. With his cowardly nature, he wouldn't dare to appear. His image in Dakota’s eyes would be shattered.
First, they would drive a wedge between Cameron and Dakota. Then, they would deal with him. Did he think he could escape ruining her wedding? Did he think Lord Blackheart's favor would save him? Her revenge was far from over!
