Chapter 275
"You!" Archie's expression soured. Lena and Tara stared at Cameron in surprise. They hadn't expected a single phone call from him to result in the CEOs of capital companies terminating their cooperation with Archie. They wondered if Cameron had connections in the capital.
Before they could speak, Archie roared, "You bastard! What did you do?"
"I simply reclaimed what rightfully belongs to me," Cameron replied calmly.
"What rightfully belongs to you?" Archie was taken aback, his face flushing crimson. "You're talking nonsense! What could a loser like you possibly have? Did you use despicable means again? Did you call Ms. Jones?"
"If you want to think that, you can," Cameron said, refusing further explanation.
"Exactly!" Archie exploded. "Give me back those business partners! They're the foundation of the Price family—my foundation! Without them, I'm as good as dead!"
Ignoring him, Cameron smiled slightly at Lena and Tara. "Let's go. Shall we sit over there?"
"Stop! Did I give you permission to leave?" Archie roared, lunging for Cameron's clothes. Cameron's eyes hardened, prepared to strike.
"What's going on? Why all the noise?" A cold voice echoed from the hallway entrance. Archie paused; Cameron and the others turned.
A young man in a white evening suit, his shirt collar slightly open, walked toward them. He appeared to be 26 or 27, with black hair and an arrogant demeanor.
"Mr. Zimmer!" Archie's eyes lit up, his gaze returning to Cameron with renewed hostility.
Cameron narrowed his eyes. So, this was Kelvin.
However, Kelvin's eyes were fixed on Tara, her blue fringe dress catching his attention. Her elegance and figure instantly aroused him. He wanted to conquer her that night.
"Kelvin!" Tara's eyes trembled, her expression strained. She harbored reservations about the notoriously wealthy man, but feared jeopardizing her family by being too obvious.
"Tara, why the frown? Did someone upset you?" Kelvin approached with a grin. He also noticed Lena's alluring figure in her black strapless dress, especially her long legs, but, knowing her identity, suppressed his immediate desires and greeted her with a smile. "Colonel Bailey, I didn't expect to see you here. Welcome, welcome!"
Cameron, in his cheap street clothes, was completely ignored.
"Mhm," Lena replied with a faint nod. She disliked Kelvin.
Kelvin, focused on winning Tara over, asked, "Tara, who made you angry? Tell me, and I'll take care of them for you."
"N-no one…" Tara's eyes trembled as she avoided his advances.
Kelvin's gaze darkened, sensing her deliberate distance. He turned to Archie.
Archie's heart leaped, and he hastily explained, "Mr. Zimmer, it wasn't me. They started it—"
Before he could finish, Kelvin slapped him. His tone was deep and ominous. "Did I ask you to speak?"
"N-no…" Archie quickly shook his head, understanding Kelvin's displaced anger but daring not to even breathe heavily.
"Then shut your mouth." Kelvin turned back to Tara, smiling. "Tara, feeling better now?"
