Chapter 284

Kelvin's pupils constricted sharply. He glared at Cameron, his anger simmering. However, their eyes met, and he sensed a palpable threat emanating from Cameron—a clear intent to kill. Goosebumps erupted across Kelvin's body. Despite his fear, he stubbornly tried to maintain his composure.

"Kid, you've got some nerve talking to me like that!"

"If I didn't, how could I call myself a man?"

With each step toward Kelvin, Cameron exuded unwavering determination.

"What do you want?"

Kelvin recoiled, startled.

"Are you scared, Mr. Zimmer?" Cameron raised an eyebrow. "If you are, apologize sincerely to Tara and promise never to harass her again. I'll let you leave."

"And if I refuse?" Kelvin's eyes narrowed, his gaze hardening.

"Then stay," Cameron replied coldly. He was tired of wasting time. Kelvin was merely a Zimmer grandson; his elimination was a possibility.

Sensing Cameron's murderous intent, Kelvin swallowed hard, shaking uncontrollably with fear.

Cameron took another step closer. Kelvin's heart pounded. Reluctantly, he muttered, "I-I apologize"

The venue erupted in gasps.

"Tara, I-I'm sorry," Kelvin added, his apology directed at Tara amidst the stunned silence.

He gritted his teeth, looking at Cameron. "Is this enough?"

"Hmm." Cameron nodded indifferently.

Kelvin's face flushed crimson. His dignity shattered, he turned and fled the stage, a flash of murderous intent blazing in his eyes. He vowed revenge for this humiliation.

Cameron remained unmoved. He'd seen the threat in Kelvin's eyes, but it didn't faze him. He would deal with Kelvin if necessary. In two days, he would settle the score with the Zimmer family. Today, he simply wanted to ensure Kelvin wouldn't harass Tara.

Though Kelvin was gone, the silence in the venue was thick with awe. All eyes were fixed on Cameron, astonished by his actions. No one expected him to intimidate Kelvin so effectively.

Lena studied Cameron intently. "His performance today was far more impressive than I imagined," she murmured.

"Hey, you weren't actually planning to kill Kelvin, were you?" Lena asked, a note of uncertainty in her voice.

"I was just trying to scare him a little," Cameron replied with a smile.

"But why do I feel like it wasn't just that?" Lena frowned, her gaze sharp.

"I'm just an ordinary civilian. How would I dare?" Cameron shook his head, then grinned at Lena. "By the way, Colonel Bailey, was my performance brave enough?"

"Brave my foot! Don't you know you've stirred up a hornet's nest?" Lena rolled her eyes, Cameron's arrogance erasing the positive impression she'd formed. He simply smiled, offering no explanation.

Lena shook her head solemnly. "After what you did, given Kelvin's personality, he'll definitely seek revenge. For your safety, you should stay at my house for the next few days until things calm down."
