Chapter 41

Their eyes met, and Timothy was ready to fight. But the moment he saw Cameron's face clearly, his head swam. How could it be him?

Timothy's eyes widened. Fortunately, he was wearing sunglasses, concealing his reaction from the others. Cameron remained expressionless, staring at Timothy. Timothy was so shocked his heart nearly stopped. It was the Dark Lord! It was really the Dark Lord! This wasn't a coincidence! The Dark Lord had actually come to Yrando!

Cold sweat broke out on Timothy's skin. Just then, his phone rang in his pocket, but he didn't hear it.

"Boss, your phone is ringing," his subordinate reminded him.

Only then did Timothy regain his senses. He answered, suppressing his fear to avoid revealing any weakness to his subordinates. He didn't register who called or what was said, quickly ending the call.

Caspian, assuming his boss was eager to confront Cameron, grew even more arrogant. He looked at Cameron, his smile laced with provocation. "Kid, why aren't you talking now? Weren't you acting tough just now? Oh, and what did you say about my boss earlier? You called him names, didn't you? Say it again to his face!"

"Fuck, shut up!" Timothy spun around and slapped Caspian, sending him staggering back against the wall.

"Boss, did you hit the wrong person?" Caspian asked, a wronged expression on his face, believing Timothy had mistaken him in his anger.

"Fuck! I'm hitting you, you sycophantic bastard!" Timothy cursed, enraged. He rushed forward, punching and kicking Caspian.

"Boss, please stop! Ah, Boss! I'm Caspian!" Caspian cried out in pain.

Chapter 41 (continued)

"Damn it, I've been too lenient with you! You're always causing trouble!" Timothy scolded, delivering a heavy kick to Caspian's abdomen. He wished he could strangle the fool. Of all people, why did Caspian have to provoke the Dark Lord? Was he trying to get himself killed?

"Why did you have to stir up trouble for me?" Timothy's attacks intensified.

"Boss, please stop, or he might die!" Caspian's subordinates pleaded, alarmed.

Only then did Timothy stop.

"Ugh" Caspian, nearly beaten to death, spat out blood. His henchmen trembled, too afraid to speak, though they didn't understand what had happened.

Madison and her friends were equally shocked. Wasn't Timothy supposed to teach Cameron a lesson? Why was he beating Caspian instead? Dakota's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked from Timothy to Cameron.

Amidst the astonishment, Timothy kicked the battered Caspian. "Are you dead yet?"

"Not yet, Boss" Caspian croaked.

"Then get up and apologize to Mr. Morgan and Ms. Jennings!"

"Yes, Boss!"

With the help of his henchmen, Caspian reluctantly stood. He sensed he'd caused serious trouble; otherwise, why would Timothy be so enraged? He approached Cameron and Dakota, bowing and apologizing. "I'm sorry, Mr. Morgan. I'm sorry, Ms. Jennings. I was blind and foolish. Please forgive me."
