Cameron ignored their stares. He looked at Dakota, still in shock, and said gently, “Dakota, let’s go.”

“Huh? Oh!” Dakota finally recovered and started to leave.

“Cameron, who gave you permission to leave?” Madison stopped him, her voice shrill. “You haven’t apologized for what happened!”

“Apologize?” Cameron raised an eyebrow. “Why should I?”

“If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be in this situation!” Madison blamed him for everything.

“Are you saying I caused this?” Cameron frowned, his tone growing colder. “Wasn’t this caused by your actions?”

“Me? If you hadn’t attacked Lord Caspian and hadn’t been so arrogant, this wouldn’t have happened!” Madison retorted defensively.

Cameron chuckled. “Alright, let’s say I caused it. But didn’t I resolve the situation?”

Madison’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “You resolved the situation? What did you do? It was clearly Archie’s help! Otherwise, you would have been beaten to death by Mr. Dashner, and you wouldn’t be standing here. You ungrateful jerk!”

Cameron laughed. “Archie’s help? What does he have to do with this?”

“Of course!” Madison puffed out her chest. “Didn’t you see Mr. Dashner’s attitude change after he took that phone call?”

Cameron burst into laughter again. This woman was incredibly self-absorbed.

Just then, Archie rushed in, concerned. “Madison, are you okay?” He’d been downstairs, too afraid to come up until he saw Timothy’s convoy leaving.

“Dear, you’re here!” Madison, unaware of this, smiled affectionately. “We’re fine, thanks to your help!”

“As long as you’re okay,” Archie sighed in relief. “When I got your message, I called my father and asked him to plead with Mr. Dashner.”

“My dear, it was indeed your help!” Madison’s eyes brightened. She looked at Cameron mockingly. “But that guy shamelessly claimed he resolved the situation!”

“Him?” Archie sneered.

“Dear, I have some good news!” Madison continued.

“What is it?” Archie asked, puzzled.

“Mr. Dashner is hosting another birthday party for me tomorrow at the Caesar Hotel! Both he and Lord Caspian will be there! It’s all thanks to you!” Madison exclaimed excitedly.

Archie was stunned. He hadn’t expected his father’s intervention to have such a significant impact. He’d only asked his father to speak kindly to Mr. Dashner, given their business relationship. He never thought it would work, let alone lead to another party. If he’d known, he would have come up sooner to take credit!

“That’s great news!” Archie chuckled.

“Dear, you’re amazing, unlike some people,” Madison said, pointedly glancing at Cameron.

Understanding the situation, her friends also gave Cameron scornful looks. They’d initially believed Mr. Dashner’s change of heart was due to Cameron, but now realized how absurd that was. Compared to Archie, Cameron was vastly inferior.
