Chapter 10: Forced

Olivia’s POV

“Mate!” My wolf howled loudly in my head. My breath hitched as I stared at the glowing cord wrapped around my wrist, extending to each of the triplets standing a few steps away. My body froze, my mind blanked, and I could only dart my eyes between them. The triplets were my mates! I was mated to all three!

Gasps and whispers erupted, but I ignored them, staring at the dumbfounded triplets. “No! This is not true!” Anita’s loud voice cut through the air, but my gaze remained fixed on them. My heart raced as I watched, gauging their reactions.

“Mates!” My wolf howled excitedly, urging me closer, but my feet were rooted to the floor. Lennox reacted first, shaking his wrist to break the cord, but he couldn't. None of them could. We were mates. “I won’t accept this!” Louis echoed, also trying to break the thread, sinking my heart further. What had I expected? Happiness? Levi followed, spitting, "This has to be a silly joke!"

More murmurs filled the hall, but I remained focused on the triplets. Anger and disgust were clear in their eyes. My world had shrunk to these three men—my so-called mates—rejecting their fate. My wolf whimpered; the initial excitement replaced by confusion and pain.

Levi moved first, stepping closer, jaw clenched, eyes burning with anger. This was the same man who, as children, had hoped I’d be his mate. “There’s no way in hell I’m accepting you as my mate,” he hissed. “The Moon Goddess must have made a mistake.” A sharp pain pierced my chest, as if his words were physical blows.

Louis scoffed, shaking his head. “I’m not accepting this,” he muttered, lips curling. He yanked at the cord again, but it held firm; it would only vanish if they marked me or rejected me.

Lennox, previously silent, exhaled sharply, his frustration unconcealed. His icy gaze met mine briefly before he looked away, as if the contact itself was unbearable. “I’m rejecting you,” he stated firmly.

“Yes, do it,” Anita pleaded, her voice choked with tears. “You love me, not her! I’m supposed to be your mate!” She yelled in pain, her red, hate-filled eyes fixed on me. I looked away, back to the triplets, their angry expressions mirroring hers.

They all wanted to reject this bond. Why? Was it because my father was accused of stealing? Because I was an omega?

“Silence!” Alpha Damon, the triplets’ father, commanded, silencing the hall. All eyes, including mine, turned to him. His expression was unreadable, his gaze fixed on his sons. I held my breath, awaiting his words.

A tense silence hung in the air. Then, a gentle hand rested on my shoulder. My mother, her eyes filled with concern, squeezed my shoulder reassuringly. I blinked back tears.

Alpha Damon finally spoke. “It seems Olivia is mated to my three sons, our future Alphas,” he announced. Soft whispers erupted; the pack's displeasure was palpable.

A heavy silence followed, the tension almost suffocating, the murmurs fading as his words sank in. “As future Alphas, you three cannot reject your mate,” he continued, his voice unwavering. “Rejecting the mate bond defies the Moon Goddess and sets a bad example.”

Lennox, Louis, and Levi stiffened, a mixture of frustration and disbelief on their faces. They were caged animals, desperate to break free, but knowing it was impossible.

“But Father—” Lennox began, but his father cut him off with a sharp look. “There will be no argument. Olivia is your fated mate, and you will accept her.” His gaze was unwavering, his authority radiating from him. “Not only that, but you will mark her tonight, and in two days, you four will be wed. She will be your Luna.”

Gasps echoed, but no one dared to defy the Alpha. My heart pounded. Marked. Married. In two days? Fear, uncertainty, and the ache of their rejection swirled within me.

“No!” Anita’s desperate voice rang out. She pushed through the crowd, her tear-streaked face etched with pain. “You can’t do this! I love them! They love me!”

Alpha Damon remained impassive. “The Moon Goddess has made her choice.”

Lennox clenched his fists. Louis looked ready to punch something. Levi’s scowl barely contained his fury. “This is a mistake,” Levi growled. “You’re forcing us into this.”

“I am ensuring the future of this pack,” Alpha Damon corrected coldly. “If you refuse, you are unworthy of leading.”

His words were final. The triplets had no choice, neither did I. I swallowed hard, my pulse thrumming. They were my mates, but they despised the bond. Now, they had no choice but to claim me. And in two days, I would become their Luna.

“Mark your mate!” the Alpha demanded. My heart pounded faster as murmurs filled the hall. “Do it now!” he insisted, his impatience clear.

Lennox moved first. His jaw tightened; without a word, he stepped forward, grasped my wrist, and lowered his mouth to my neck. A sharp, burning pain shot through me as his canines sank into my skin. My breath hitched, but I didn't cry out.

Louis followed. His touch was rough, his reluctance evident in the harshness of his bite. The burn was just as intense, his anger palpable.

Finally, Levi stepped forward, eyes dark with resentment. He didn't hesitate. His fangs pierced my skin, marking me as his against his will.

The moment the third mark was complete, the glowing cord vanished. A heavy silence settled over the hall as the triplets stepped back, their faces filled with anger. I met their gaze, and what I saw terrified me. In their eyes, one word: Torture. I had sealed my life of torture.
