I couldโve just teleported away right now, left them all staring at the air.
Levi laughed and rolled off me, raising his hands in surrender. โAlright, alright. Truce.โ
I sighed, hugging my knees. โI know. But itโs hard. Everyone looks at me like Iโm thisโฆ powerful girl whoโs supposed to fix everything. But I feel so lost. I miss you both. I miss home. Even with Calvin being kind, I still feel like Iโm surrounded by strangers.โ
Moments later, a young maid arrived and curtsied. โIโll show your guests to their chambers, my lady.โ
Nora let out a shaky laugh. โWe missed you more, my lady.โ
I sighed, still not meeting Leviโs eyes. โYou guys are unbelievable.โ
โYou canโt blame me. She was once dear to me.โ
They tricked me.
But I couldnโt stay in that moment any longer. I forced a smile and stood up.
The moment their eyes landed on me, they both rushed forward, and I met them halfway. We collided in a tight hug, the kind that squeezed the breath out of you, but in the best way.
I hesitated, but then I nodded. โIโm surviving.โ
Theyโre already here?
I didnโt know what was going to happen. But one thing was certainโthey were still in my heart. And thatโฆ terrified me.
โYouโre ganging up on me!โ I shouted, dodging another attack.
โThe only way?โ I spat, struggling under him. โYou faked collapsing just to drag me here?! What is wrong with you three?!โ
Oliviaโs POV
As I sat up, rearranging my hair, Lennox stepped closer.
โNot ever again,โ Lolita added.
โOh really?โ I raised a brow, tossing him a pillow. โThen show your loyalty, soldier.โ
I frowned.
โGet off me, or I swear Iโll teleport your eyebrows off one by one.โ
The second I arrived, I saw Louis and Lennox crouched beside Leviโs motionless form, panic etched on their faces.
โYou two had a long journey,โ I said. โYou need to rest.โ
โWow,โ Nora said, spinning slowly. โThis room is huge.โ
Then, in the middle of it all, Levi tripped on a pillow and fell.
I blinked, caught off guard. โIโฆ I donโt know.โ
โAre you okay?โ she asked gently.
โLevi?!โ I gasped, my heart slamming into my ribs.
Still fuming, I looked around the room, my eyes landing on a pillow near Leviโs head.
Nora and Lolita exchanged another glance before Nora leaned in closer.
We reached my room, and the moment the door shut behind us, all the weight Iโd been carrying seemed to ease. Nora and Lolita looked around with wide eyes, taking in the space.
Totally unfair.
Because deep down, despite all the reasons I shouldnโtโฆ I didnโt want to.
โYouโre not alone anymore,โ Nora whispered.
โOliviaโฆ Levi just collapsedโฆ Heโs unconscious. Please, we need your helpโฆโ he pleaded in a panicked voice.
He blinked in shock, then slowly turned his head toward me, his eyes wide. โDid you just throw that at me?โ
โOliviaโฆ can you hear me?โ
When suddenly-
โDonโt tell me youโre feeling sorry for her,โ she growled.
I blinked in confusion as realization hit me like a slap.
โOh, you bet I did,โ I said, already reaching for another one.
Nora and Lolita.
They watched me quietly, waiting.
I didnโt wait for him to finish. I teleported out of my room and appeared in Leviโs chamber.
Levi turned to me with a grin. โIโm on Oliviaโs team now.โ
But Levi suddenly froze midโswing.
Pillows flew through the air, feathers burst loose with every hit, and laughter echoed off the walls.
โItโs beautiful,โ Lolita added, trailing her fingers along the edge of the dresser. The moment I heard Lennoxโs voiceโฆ the panic in itโฆ Iโd felt like the world was collapsing. There was no way I couldโve ignored it.
We sat there for a while, just holding each other in silence.
โWhat?!โ Louis and Lennox shouted at the same time.
My eyes widened as fear gripped my entire being, forcing me on my feet.
Excited, I jumped to my feet and hurried downstairs.
โPlease stay for a little while, Olivia,โ he said quietly. โWe wonโt pull another trick, I promise. We justโฆ missed you.โ
โI missed you so much,โ I whispered, my voice cracking.
My eyes widened. Nora nodded.
โWhat happened?โ I gasped, rushing to his side.
I looked up at them, eager to know.
Our eyes met, our lips just inches apart. My breath caught.
โGladly.โ He turned and tackled Louis to the bed with a flying pillow strike, feathers exploding everywhere.
Before I could react, he grabbed me by the wrist and, in one swift motion, pulled me down onto the bed under him.
My brows drew together in concern. What could their parents have possibly done to warrant their sonsโ rage?
โAre you kidding me right now?!โ I snapped, glaring up at Levi, who still hovered above me with a sheepish grin.
โYesโฆ and also she is banished from the packโฆ the Alphas found out what she and her father did.โ
Lolita and Nora exchanged a look, then turned back to me.
I sat beside Levi, my hand trembling as I placed it gently on his forehead. His skin was warm, but not burning. That was at least a good sign.
We collapsed into a heap of tangled limbs, feathers, and laughter. Completely breathless.
Right on top of me.
I was mad.
There they were.
I clenched my jaw and crossed my arms, still lying beneath Levi.
โWhere are you guys?โ I asked, already panicking.
Within seconds, chaos erupted in the room.
I swallowed, my cheeks flushing as I turned my face away.
Of course I came.
I focused, ready to unleash my healing ability. My energy began to rise from within, glowing faintly under my palm-
โThis isnโt fair,โ he announced dramatically. โIโm switching sides!โ
โIn his roomโฆโ
Levi leaned down slightly, his voice softer now. โBut you came.โ
โI also heard the triplets are sending their parents away as punishmentโฆ we donโt actually know what they didโฆ but we heard the triplets are angry with them,โ Lolita added.
Lennox tried to escape, but I jumped on his back, wrapping my arms around his shoulders as Levi attacked from the front.
Three Alphas vs. one furious girl.
I recognized Lennoxโs voice immediately.
โIโll call a maid to take you to your rooms,โ I added quickly, walking toward the door.
โItโs called strategy,โ Lennox smirked, swinging a pillow at me, which I narrowly blocked.
I gave a small smile and nodded. We all sat on the bed, like we used to back at the mansion. For a moment, none of us spoke. Then, Nora reached over and took my hand.
It smacked him clean across the face.
โSorry,โ he said, though the smirk on his face said otherwise. โIt was the only way.โ His hand was on my waist. My heart thudded.
Then Nora pulled back and smiled through her tears. โWe got some news to share.โ
Once the door shut, I turned slowly, lay back on the bed, and stared up at the ceiling, my fingers loosely gripping the sheets.
My wolf stirred inside me.
My heart raced in fear.
They both leaned in, wrapping their arms around me. I melted into their embrace. โYou traitor!โ Lennox shouted at his brother, laughing uncontrollably.
I should be mad.
โCome,โ I said, still smiling. โLetโs go to my room. You have to tell me everything.โ
My eyes darted to Lennox and Louis, who were now standing at the foot of the bed with wide grins on their faces.
โNo, itโs called bullying,โ I fired back, throwing one straight at Leviโs head.
Lolita gave me a look. โSurviving is not the same as living.โ
Lolita sniffled, clinging to my arm. โIt hasnโt been the same without you. The whole place felt empty.โ
The question hit me like a wave I wasnโt ready for.
โLennoโฆโ
Louis chuckled. โWorked, didnโt it?โ
Lennox at least had the decency to look guilty. โIโm sorry, Oliviaโฆ we justโmissed you. We didnโt know what else to do.โ
It hadnโt even been three hours since I contacted Lennoxโฆ How did they arrive so fast? My heart raced as I reached the living room.
I swallowed hard, not knowing what to feel.
I gasped as my back hit the mattress, and he climbed on top of me, pinning me down.
But I didnโt.
โMy ladyโฆ your guests are here,โ one of the maids announced softly.
They nodded eagerly, and the three of us walked upstairs like old times, their presence wrapping around me like a warm blanket.
Leviโs eyes shot open.
Without thinking twice, I grabbed it and launched it across the room, straight at Louis.
โAnita lost the remaining pregnancy.โ
And thenโฆ he kissed me.
I stared at them, my heart pounding, emotions swirling like a storm.
But deep down I missed them too.
Nora looked like she wanted to say more, but Lolita nodded, standing.
I glared at all of them. โI couldโve been doing something important, you know. And you dragged me here with some cheap prank?โ
He didnโt hesitate. He dove for a pillow and threw it back, but I ducked, and it hit Levi instead.
I nodded, and with soft goodnights, Nora and Lolita followed the maid out.
Levi growled playfully. โOh, itโs on now.โ
Suddenly, I felt a mindโlink snap open.
I pulled back a little to look at their faces. Their eyes were wet with tears, but they were smiling. Just seeing them, just having them here, made something heavy inside me lift.
โOofโLevi!โ I gasped, the air knocked out of me.
โI donโt know whatโs supposed to happen,โ I admitted. โIโm still trying to understand everything. My feelings, their actionsโฆ itโs all a mess in my head. Some days, Iโm angry. Other days, I just miss them. And sometimesโฆโ I paused, swallowing the lump in my throat. โSometimes I wish things could go back to how they used to be. But that is never happeningโnot with the enmity between our families, and on top of it all, weโre even related.โ
The room went quiet. Nora and Lolita didnโt ask questions or urge me to say more- they just remained silent, offering their listening ears to me.
โSoโฆโ she began gently, โwhatโs going to happen now? Between you and the triplets?โ
